🌏✈️ After a whirlwind few weeks of traveling through several incredible countries, I'm excited to be back in the office! My journey took me to Madrid for the FICPI - International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys Open Forum, Munich for Oktoberfest (🍻) and to visit friends and colleagues, London to catch up with more friends and colleagues, a brief sojourn in Suffolk to see my family, and to beautiful Queenstown, NZ for the KCA - Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia Ltd Annual Conference. It was an amazing adventure filled with unforgettable experiences, and I’m grateful for every moment. Now, I’m ready and energized for a busy (and fun) summer here in Australia. An excellent and most useful meeting between FICPI and the European Patent Office for our annual bilateral meeting. Thank you to Christian Wende and President Roberto Pistolesi, Secretary General Elia Sugrañes, President of the FICPI Study & Work Committee Robert Watson, as well as Katsumori ISEKI, Michael Caine, Swarup Kumar and Matthew Fletcher who joined online. We appreciated the open and positive discussions with all the EPO representatives.
Last week I was part of the FICPI -Internationale Föderation Von Patentanwälte delegation visiting the European Patent Office for the Annual EPO-FICPI Meeting, together with our President Roberto Pistolesi and my wonderful colleagues Elia Sugrañes and Robert Watson. Today I presented to the Global Network of IP Associations and for FICPI - International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys a debrief on the SPLH colloquium held in June at the European Patent Office. Harmonization is a long process, and as highlighted by my copresenter Patrick J. Coyne from American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) it requires both leadership and creativity. The June colloquium opened a channel for creativity. The work will continue !
