The Valery Foundation operates in four key areas: Biodiversity, Circular Economy, Renewable Energy and Health. In each of these domains, the foundation adopts a comprehensive approach that addresses all aspects of the relevant societal challenges. By utilizing a consistent methodology, the foundation is able to maximize its impact in each of these areas. The Valery Foundation aims to position itself as a philanthropic Impact Lab, promoting the dynamic and innovative vision of traditional startup incubators while upholding the values of the philanthropic world. Due to its limited means, the foundation relies on its ability to generate innovative, tech-oriented solutions and to mobilize competent external teams to deploy its Lab-developed projects. It focuses on projects whose implementation allows for a massive deployment of the solution in the relevant environments. This "scale-up" effect allows it to achieve significant impact with limited resources. Its great agility and low risk aversion allow it to explore avenues that are overlooked by traditional institutions whose inertia is too great to adapt to the rapid evolution of technology. In addition to the "flagship" projects developed internally by the Lab, the foundation also supports an ecosystem of strategic partners. This financial support is accompanied by support from the foundation in order to highlight these projects or to create synergies between them.

🚨Announcing the creation of the first #blockchain-native carbon credits, from the soil up! On January 23, Celsia Energía was the first Open Forest Protocol project to generate the world's only fully digital, immutable, and traceable carbon credits. Unlike other credits that are sourced outside of a state of the art ledger system, OFP carbon credits are created using groundbreaking #blockchain technology from inception to sale. This is intentionally designed to incentivize good project management and tree protection! The ReverdeC participatory ecological restoration program, hailing from the Valle del Cauca region in the southwest of Colombia, has restored more than 7,000 hectares by planting more than 15 million trees in the last decade. Using OFP, Celsia Energía has launched three pilot plots to begin tracking, monitoring, and reporting the restoration process to be at the forefront of sustainable carbon financing for all stakeholders involved. What Does This Mean for the Communities and Forests of ReverdeC? ● Every carbon credit is entirely visible from the inception of the carbon development project (documented on a novel product known as Atlas: https://lnkd.in/gdZyaMv8), to the upload, verification, issuance, and offset of the credit in question. ● For the community and local stakeholders that operate and depend on the forests managed by ReverdeC, this allows for every aspect of the project to be shown to the world, and for their carbon credits to be incredibly high integrity.
