Healthy Longevity Medicine Society

It's a beautiful journey and a pure honor to be one of the organizers at Aging Research & Drug Discovery Meeting , curating the #longevitymedicine track. Doing this for a third year in a row, I can see how the interest in longevity medicine grows exponentially; this year, we will have more case studies and intervention results than ever. While organizing the program, scheduling the speaker slots, and ensuring everything was smoothly connected to ensure the most value for participants and speakers, I realized how much stamina is needed to organize such a massive event (the biggest conference on aging in the world!). It's a privilege to do it alongside Morten Scheibye-Knudsen, Alex Zhavoronkov, and Daniela Bakula, who are the masterminds of this game. Their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. What some of you will attend, and others will watch in two weeks results from 56 weeks' worth of meetings, emails, logistics, and expert-level planning. All of this is in pursuit of broadening the longevity medicine community. All of this is in pursuit of the effective longevity protocol. Cheers to aging research, and its application, my friends! We couldn't have reached this point (fully sold out!) without your support and interest. Thank you for being an integral part of our community and this upcoming conference. 

Italy 🇮🇹 is paving its way to an ‘aging well country in an aging society’. I am hugely impressed by the multidisciplinary collaborations within the Italian Ageing - Age-It S.c.a.r.l. consortium - excellence from basic #biology to #sociology to #economics - it was a true pleasure to interact with various groups and give the keynote lecture in Venice talking about healthy longevity medicine - disentangling hype from reality. Clinics delivering evidence based diagnostics and interventions are at the forefront to change the healthcare system … Thank you Fabrizio d'Adda di Fagagna for inviting me and introducing me to this fabulous consortium. Why should #normal be good enough? Let us choose to be #optimal ...- at least for our #health. Healthy Longevity Medicine (#HLM) is defined as optimizing health and healthspan while antagonizing aging processes across the lifespan. HLM is growing worldwide - we need #standards, based on best evidence, leading to and, informed by best #practices and, we need #education. Then, with a good implementation science framework, healthcare services worldwide will take on HLM ... - that is my plea in the article published by the the Federatie Medisch Specialisten (Dutch Federation Medical Specialists). In translational #geroscience informing HLM, diagnostics and indicators should follow geroprotective interventions, followed by measuring outcomes. Biomarkers of aging are driven by the Biomarkers of Aging Consortium and interventions by the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society. Together with the Academy for Health & Lifespan Research and NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity, delivering evidence-based education (and sooooo many other hugely important partners), the ecosystem is built to enable healthcare systems to be #healthy.
