Delighting consumers by conserving the goodness of nature
Info
We are passionate about naturally good food. Since our foundation in 1886 and within the many brands that have since joined the Hero global family, we make high quality, natural products easily accessible to consumers. We want to bring this heritage to today`s consumers to share our love for naturally good food. Our mission, to delight consumers by conserving the goodness of nature, addresses the needs and desires of today’s consumers for authentic, honest food. We believe in going back to basics and adopting the principles of purity, honesty and simplicity. We have an open, informal, non-hierarchical and family-oriented way of working with short decision lines. We give our people the freedom and responsibility to achieve their goals and ambitions the way they think is best. They are given the opportunity to take responsibility and realize their ambitions, and of course get rewarded for doing so.

Read the interview given by Markus Kohrs-Lichte, who heads our German company SCHWARTAUER WERKE GmbH & Co. KG, to Lebensmittel Zeitung

We are proud to have SCHWARTAUER WERKE GmbH & Co. KG as part of the Group. That's why we wanted our international colleagues to be part of the company's 125th anniversary. We therefore held a Golden Ticket competition across the company to select 10 colleagues to join. The lucky winners come from our companies in Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Egypt, Turkey, and the US. Since yesterday, our colleagues have been with us in Bad Schwartau, making new contacts and getting to know the Schwartau production plants. The special highlight: our big company party at the Kulturwerft Gollan under the motto Festival of #Diversity. "We are looking forward to celebrating our anniversary with our Hero colleagues. This event is a great opportunity to network within the Group," says Florian Brombach, Head of Human Resources at Schwartauer Werke. #125JahreSchwartauerWerke / Christoph Jost Jesús Moreno Zapata María Meroño García Maria Perez Guillen

We support our Organix Country Manager Matt Goddard who is embarking on a gruelling week-long bike trek in Vietnam to raise awareness and funds for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) that finds and destroys landmines, cluster munition, and unexploded bombs. Today we join many others around the world in celebrating International Women’s Day and the campaign to Inspire Inclusion. In our last Group-wide employee survey (2023), inclusion came out as the second most positive answer. This is reflected in our top positions where we have a healthy representation of women. “Our senior leadership has a 43% female representation, which is a tremendous result. This does not mean that we will stop working to improve inclusion – there is a great deal of work left to do, and we are working together with our countries to continue improving.” - Anne Ferbus, CPO Hero Group #InspireInclusion #IWD #IWD2024

Our CEO Rob Versloot joined nine other male peers to participate in this video, where they were asked questions normally asked to women. The video aims to highlight the unconscious bias that has an impact in the professional world, especially for women. Here's what our CEO had to say: “Taking a step back, it becomes quite clear that we are plagued by unconscious bias, which is why inclusion has become an even more important priority at Hero over the past years. I want to make sure that we have the best leaders in place, irrespective of gender.” #IWD2024
Imagine men get the same questions as women? Ten male Swiss CEOs answer questions that are usually only asked of women. Unconscious biases are an essential survival processes by nature. "Gender" is just one of many examples. However, especially in the professional world, our onconcious biases can influence the way in which women can operate. The four entrepreneurs Claire Garwacki, Nathalie Agosti, Sophie Winkler-Payot and Philippe Weibel joint forces to create this humurous video about unconcious bias at work with the goal to create awarness in Switzerland and beyond. All questions are based on REAL situations collected by Claire Garwacki, the initiator of "In her chair". As a recruiter and founder of Bellevue Executive Search she has collected them in over 2000 interviews. A special thank you goes to all participating CEOs Warwick Brady (Swissport) Erland Bruegger and Silvan Brauen (Rivella Group) Severin Dressen (Zoo Zürich) Guido Mueller (Swisscard AECS GmbH) Oliver Niedermann (Ticketcorner AG) Richard Saynor (Sandoz) Andreas Schollin-Borg (Batmaid) Rob Versloot (Hero Group) Fabrice Zumbrunnen (ex Migros) How biased are you? "In her Chair" invites you to reflect on your own prejudices and assumptions. Bellevue Executive Search, Outlive - Advisory, elliott AG #iwd2024 #iwd2024womenleadingtheway
