At Interhome, we are deeply committed to promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability 🌍💚. As part of our dedication to these values, we recently took part in an event organised by Legambiente, the most important Italian environmental organisation 🌱. The event was held in San Vito lo Capo, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sicily 🏖️. It is of great importance to preserve the beauty of this area and to manage the impact of tourism in a sustainable way ✨. Together with Legambiente volunteers and 150 children from local schools 👧👦, 30 big bags of waste and 5 Kgs of cigarette butts 🚬 (equivalent to about 25 thousand butts) were collected from the cycle lane and from the beach 🚮. A big thank you 🙏 to our Sicily Purchasing Manager Eleonora Moncada and to everyone involved. 🌊 Successful cleaning up day with Hands2Ocean in Stockholm 🌍 An impressive 850 kg of waste came to light on cleaning up day at Södermälarstrand in Stockholm, Sweden. 6 employees of Interhome had the opportunity to team up with professional divers and volunteers from Hands2Ocean for a day of cleaning up our waterways. The task? Supporting the divers by pulling up trash from the water with ropes. By the end of the day, the team managed to collect 850 kg of waste, including everything from tires to batteries and even electronics.
