Very pleased to support SATS Ltd. and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in the expanded implementation of DG AutoCheck across their global network. This solution significantly enhances the #safety, accuracy, and efficiency of #dangerousgoods handling, critical as #aircargo volumes continue to grow.
SATS is excited to announce our expanded partnership with International Air Transport Association (IATA), implementing the DG AutoCheck compliance solution across SATS and WFS’ global network. With over 215 stations in 27 countries, this initiative enhances the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of our handling of dangerous goods shipments. DG AutoCheck optimises compliance, reducing processing time and errors. This milestone reinforces SATS' commitment to innovation and safety, setting new standards for the air cargo industry. On 27 September in Paris, David Wall, Director Safety and Cargo Compliance & Operations Solutions at IATA, presented the certificate to Henry LOW Eng Kiat, SATS’ Chief Operating Officer and CEO-designate of SATS Singapore Hub. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with IATA to advance global cargo safety. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eSe77hYv

Regulatory fragmentation and divergent standards across the regions are major barriers to improving #cabinwaste management. Global harmonization of regulations are key to further developing sustainable solutions. The IATA Cabin Waste Composition Audit Program (CWCA) supports this approach and is already helping #airlines to establish a clear understanding of the their waste scale, size and location. The CWCA outcomes backed by aggregated #data from the industry players, allow improvement areas to be identified and analyzed. IATA released updated #Finance and #Policy Net Zero Roadmaps at #IATAWSS. The Finance Roadmap offers a detailed view of the required investments to reach #netzero CO2 emissions by 2050, and the costs involved to #airlines in procuring the new solutions. Identifying the number of new biorefineries that need to be built and highlighting that their product output will benefit all industries’ energy transition, should help focus minds and promote the unity of purpose needed for a successful transition. More ⬇️ ⬇️
Today we are very pleased to release International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s Net Zero CO2 Emissions Finance Roadmap 2024 at the World Sustainability Symposium in Miami. This is an updated version of the 2023 Finance Roadmap, where we provided detailed quantitative assessments on the finance needs in the immediate-, mid-, and long terms for the air transport industry to reach net zero CO2 emissions in 2050. In this roadmap, we addressed some key questions in financing air transport’s net zero transition, including: - how much additional costs the airline industry may have to face in adopting various mitigation levers in the transition? - how many new renewable fuel plants would be needed to make sure that airlines will have enough Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the energy transition process? - how much capex associated with the new plants would be required in the best- and the worst-case scenarios over 2024-2050? - Is this a mission impossible if we compare the capex needed with the capex that has been spent on the wind and solar energy sector? If any of the above questions is interesting to you, please take a look to the full report 👇 Many thanks to the guidance and support from the IATA Sustainability and Economics team that makes this work possible!
