Cinzia, Danilo and Alessio Maag started with the brand INUIKII which is a young footwear label from Switzerland specifically for colder but fashion winter months. Launched in 2012, INUIKII is already popular across many countries and worldwide recognized – now also with a summer collection. Since 2016 INUIKII has expanded its family with Nicole Nordin and Peter Forsberg. The Swiss/Swedish connection stands with full power and enthusiasm behind the brand to fulfill the goal: To turn your winter into something special! OUR CREATIONS All creations and developments of INUIKII are made in-house in Zurich – Switzerland. Not one piece is a standard piece but specially developed to keep the high core values of the brand and the family Maag. All products are entirely handmade and offer a choice from sophisticated classic to fashionable. CORE IDEA Our core idea is to make it happen that every woman and every man finds its matchable style – whether winter or summer. The basis is built by the three models – boot, sneaker, slipper – which are available in hundreds of different variations. A fashion statement which outlasts trends and follows your journeys.

For guidance, we talked to Cinzia Maag, founder and CEO of luxury and responsible footwear and accessories brand Inuikii, who says, “You want to find an ergonomic footbed that is also not too narrow. The quality of the insole lining is therefore a decisive factor here.” She adds, “The material of the upper is also important.     I recently read an article that criticized influencers, branding them as worthless and unproductive. However, we choose to focus on appreciating and supporting creative individuals who add value through their work. Allow me to share our perspective on the creative work of influencers, opinion leaders, or similar individuals. In the past, we used to work with «bloggers», a term that has now evolved into «influencers». It's unfortunate that many have had negative experiences, and we empathize with that feeling. However, an influencer embodies a creative force, constantly innovating and reinventing themselves. They bridge the gap between personal brand-building and the aesthetical presentation of products or services. Frankly, endorsing a vacuum cleaner with a fashion influencer might seem far-fetched in terms of credibility. In our early days, we had to validate our products and shift the perception of a shoe's wintery appeal to its suitability for urban environments. You can either sponsor your close friends, if you're fortunate enough to have them, or collaborate with a network of like-minded individuals who exude a certain aura and represent a lifestyle. The choice between reach and quality should always lean towards quality. Our motto is to «Die in Beauty»! It's all about curation, starting from assembling a team with a keen sense of creativity and aesthetics, capable of sensing moods, trends, and making bold decisions even if it means opting out of collaborations based solely on reach (which requires courage). Ultimately, what matters most is curating your brand, products, and services. As a personality-driven company, we only associate ourselves with products and individuals possessing personality, whether they are commercial, edgy, renowned, or simply delightful individuals. Trust me, smaller influencers are usually more creative. And hey, it's just like any other job that each of us does, so let's refrain from passing judgment. Bye.

    What does 4-Season Thinking mean?  It begins with design. INUIKII is known for its strong fall and winter collections, yet not everyone knows that we also shine in the summer months. Our ambition stretches across all four seasons, bridging winter to spring, spring to summer, and fall back to winter again. Venturing into new categories presents an exciting challenge. The greatest hurdle lies in encapsulating INUIKII's distinctive, winter-born DNA into a product that transitions seamlessly into the «in-between» seasons. This led to the creation of the Matilda Sneaker, a product that emerges from our winter aesthetic while representing our strong product identity. Launched exclusively through DTC channels two years ago, the goal was to generate buzz and establish its position through a potent communication strategy before introducing it to the wholesale market. The strategy has proven successful, with the Matilda Sneaker emerging as a standout product for spring, summer, and fall. Initially launched in leather, we quickly embraced the opportunity to adapt it for warmer seasons by incorporating bio cotton, making it «lighter and more summery.» Our team, alongside retailers and consumers, adores this sneaker for its gentle silhouette and substantial appearance, which doesn't follow a trend but offers a timeless design language.
