🇨🇭 [#SwissTech] Record broken for longest #hyperloop trial in Europe! 🚀 A collaborative team from Swisspod Technologies, EPFL, and HEIG-VD has reached a significant milestone in hyperloop development with the LIMITLESS project (Linear Induction Motor Drive for Traction and Levitation in Sustainable Hyperloop Systems). This project focuses on creating a sustainable, high-speed transportation solution with minimal infrastructure. During recent tests at EPFL's specialized facility, the team achieved a remarkable feat, replicating a 141.6 km full-scale journey over an 11.8 km test track and reaching speeds of 488.2 km/h in a controlled, low-pressure environment. Building on its vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic, this new Centre will bolster coordinated research in pathogen bioinformatics, supporting Swiss authorities and the global community in pandemic preparedness and response.
