One of the key strengths of our solutions is the 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 of our modifications. This means that all the work previously done for the BFC conversion has been preserved. The addition of the Large Cargo Door now provides enhanced capabilities, including: - Loading of oversized cargo. - Use of 88" x 108" pallets and LD3 containers. IPR Conversions (Switzerland) Ltd acquired from Leonardo (former Alenia) the ATR Passenger-to-Freighter conversion STCs covering worldwide exclusive Large Cargo Door (LCD) conversion of used ATRs and the Bulk Freighter (BFC) conversions. The LCD boasts a 2.94m x 1.8 m (116” x 71”) door - 272% larger door opening (Standard door - 1.27m x 1.53 m (50” x 60”)), with a 110° door opening with a 1.05m still height (41”) / 3.5 ft, class "E" cargo compartment, suitable for 5x ABZ pallets (88"x108") or 7x LD3 containers. The quality of IPR BFC, with a floor width of 89" (226 cm) versus 81" (206 cm) from other STC providers together with an available volume of 75.5 cbm (9.7% more than competition) coupled with the highest floor weight resistance available, makes it a work horse for the integrator industry and the charter community.

These aircrafts have been modified by our STC, IPR Conversions (Switzerland) Ltd. The photo in the Cargo Facts post is a bit old, as it shows the first aircraft modified by IPR Conversion with a Large Cargo Door - but we are pleased to see it again. This photo reminds us of the journey IPR Conversion has taken since this first modification. We have overcome numerous challenges to get these modifications, approved in 2000, back on track. - Upgrading the STCs to the latest ATR standards - Restarting and even creating supply chains, managing obsolescences - Digitizing all the drawings - Creating clear Service Bulletins - Developing the tooling... All these steps have allowed us to reach where we are today: an industrialized solution, with kits in stock to actively meet demand.
