ABTUS-BVOTS - the belgian tunnel association - Successfully Co-Organised Beyond the Tunnel Vision Conference with Centrum Ondergronds Bouwen (COB), Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR), ie-net ingenieursvereniging and KIVI Tunnel Techniek en Ondergrondse Werken On October 16, 2024, ABTUS-BVOTS proudly co-organised the Beyond the Tunnel Vision Conference in Antwerp, a pivotal event focused on the urgent challenges of tunnel renovation and refurbishment across Europe. This event attracted over 250 participants from various sectors, including infrastructure managers, engineers, and policymakers. We look forward to seeing how the discussions of today will shape the future of tunnel management and renovation across Europe. During the conference, we had the opportunity to engage with participants through a compelling short film highlighting the significant progress of the Oosterweelverbinding project in Antwerp, with a sneak peek into what attendees can expect at the World Tunnel Congress 2027. The World Urban Forum, held in Cairo from 4-8 November 2024, serves as a prominent platform for dialogue and collaboration among various stakeholders focused on urban development and sustainable cities.
