The ITFA Trade Finance Investment Ecosystem (ITFIE) has been furthering its efforts to bringing institutional investor voice into the #tradefinance ecosystem and developing #trade as an asset class.   ITFIE had published its first output - ‘Whitepaper on developing a Practitioners Guide to making Trade an Investible Asset Class’, https://lnkd.in/e22zQwXn last year and has since held several consultations including an investor survey and several investor events (notably 2 editions of their flagship - Trade & Investment Forum https://lnkd.in/dSS49q-h ).     Co-chaired by Swaroop N L N of HSBC & Bertrand de Comminges of Santander Asset Management, ITFIE has organised itself into the following key workstreams and has been working with some of the industry leaders in this space.   🔴 Stream A- Voice of the Institutional Investors, led by Suresh Hegde of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Guy Brooks of Pemberton Asset Management ⚫ Stream B- Rules of the Game, led by Geoffrey Wynne of Sullivan & Worcester LLP and Paul Coles of Orbian 🔴 Stream C- Technology and Data, led by André Casterman of Casterman Advisory and Matt Wreford of DEMICA   🚀 ITFIE is pleased to now release the first outputs of these work streams and looks forward to using these as building blocks of furthering ITFIE’s engagement with the industry. ITFA, the global #tradefinance industry body, is taking a stand against the #tradefinancegap!    For the very first time, we are bringing together the most influential minds in the trade finance industry under one roof with one resolve – to overcome the trade finance gap once and for all. The Trade and Supply Chain Finance Gap Summit – Trade Finance Conference of Parties Meeting 1 (TF COP1) – will be held at the headquarters of the IFC - International Finance Corporation in Washington, DC, on Monday 28th October 2024 (a full-day event).    Participation will be by invitation only, ensuring that attendees are senior representatives from the trade finance industry.
