KLK Kolb is al meer dan 30 jaar gevestigd in Port of Moerdijk. Het is een bedrijf dat "niet-ionogene oppervlakte-actieve stoffen" produceert, waarbij ethyleen- of propyleenoxide samen met veelal zogenaamde vetalcoholen reageren tot gewenste eindproducten, die o.a. worden gebruikt als grondstof voor wasmiddelen en cosmetica. Kijk maar eens op de ingrediëntenlijst van een shampoofles, grote kans dat KLK Kolb de oppervlakte-actieve stoffen hebben geproduceerd.
