1️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ ❗ That's the number of Lean In circles around the globe. 💥 It's truly mind-blowing that these circles unite thousands of women. Each of these women is unique, and together they create incredibly powerful circles ⭕ 💡 It all started 11 years ago, and at that time, the goal was much smaller—to be precise, one hundred times smaller—to establish 1,000 Lean In circles. Today we get so many positive messages about success stories. And a very common piece of feedback is how it helped women realize that they are not alone. Having support from like-minded people is crucial in everyone's life. 📈 The statistics about being in a Lean In circle are incredibly motivating: 85% of members credit their Lean In Circle with a positive change in their life, almost two-thirds of women in Lean In Circles have taken on a new challenge, and 81% of members said being in a Lean In Circle helped their career. That's the power of support! 🙌 🔔 We are grateful to have Lean In Circles here in Switzerland, and they are truly powerful and inspiring. This spring, we hosted a Lean In Circle factory, resulting in six new Lean In circles. Two other circles were created shortly after. We encourage you to discover these new circles or explore the existing ones. If you have an idea for creating your own Circle, reach out to Lidia Zabala We'll always provide support and guidance throughout your journey. #LeanInSwitzerland #LeanInCircle #Celebration #Networking #WomenSupportWomen

📢 Last week, Lean In, in collaboration with McKinsey & Company, released the Women in the Workplace 2024 report. This marks the 10th issue, offering a decade-long retrospective on women's status in corporate America. The report stands as the most comprehensive study of its kind. 💡 Here are a few key points from the report: 🔸 Over the past ten years, women’s representation has increased at every level. In the US, women today make up to 29% of C-suite positions, compared to just 17% in 2015. Women are leaning into their ambitions, and we should celebrate this. 🔸 At the current rate of progress, it will take white women 22 years to reach parity in corporate America and more than twice that – 48 years – for women of color. 🔸 Commitment is waning: the number of companies that say gender diversity is a high priority has dropped by 10 percentage points since 2017. And the number of companies that say racial diversity is a high priority has dropped by 8 percentage points since 2019. 🔸 Women—and particularly women of color—are not getting enough support from their managers. They are still far more likely than men to face bias that calls their abilities and leadership potential into question. And women of color, LGBTQ+ women, and women with disabilities experience more demeaning interactions at work. ❗These are just few takeaways from the report. Full report you can find here: https://lnkd.in/e2_x3-ij Despite there are still lots of barriers, women remain highly ambitious—and just as ambitious as men. 👏 #WomenInTheWorkplace10 #WiW10 #WiW24 #LeanInSwitzerland

Yesterday, our team members attended the annual presentation of the Gender Intelligence Report from Advance – Gender Equality in Business in collaboration with Competence Centre for Diversity & Inclusion (CCDI-FIM) - University of St.Gallen (HSG). This highly anticipated event revealed how gender equality in the Swiss workplace has evolved over the past year and since the first report eight years ago. ❗ The 2024 edition analyzes anonymized HR data from 370,000 employees, including 138,000 in management positions, from over 90 Swiss companies and organizations. This unique dataset represents nearly 7% of the Swiss workforce. This year's report specifically examines power distribution, corresponding gaps, and potential actions to create greater gender equality. 📢 While we acknowledge small steps forward in gender equality, we must admit these advancements are far too modest, and there's still much work to be done. Thank you to IKEA, EY, Vontobel, and Siemens for sharing their best practices. We sincerely appreciate the ongoing effort in collecting and presenting this valuable data to society. 🙏 💡 You can learn more about the report here: https://lnkd.in/dxkCh25S Anna Stando Lidia Zabala Barbara (Basia) Favre Anna Stentella Mathilde Claire VINCENT #LeanInSwitzerland #GenderIntelligenceReport #GenderEquality

Behind every successful woman is a circle of strong women. 🙌 And we have some great news - we have hit an amazing milestone: 100,000 women have started Lean In Circles in over 180 countries! 🎉 We are very proud of this remarkable achievement, as we know from our own Lean In Circles that these safe spaces are pivotal for our personal and professional growth, and create opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, speak about challenges and accomplishments, and support one another on an ongoing basis. It was delightful to host this event at the beautiful Reseda office.🥂 We will be sharing some of the impact stories from our community in the near future. ❔ Make a guess: "When 1 in 10 senior leaders at their company is a woman, what % of men and what % of women think women are well represented in leadership?" 💡 Answer: 44% of men and 22% of women... At our last "50 Ways to Fight Bias" workshop we talked about the many biases that hold women back in their careers and negatively impact their experience at work: ❌ affinity bias ❌ attribution bias ❌ performance bias ❌ maternal bias ❌ likeability bias ❌ intersectionality Thank you to all of you who have joined us and shared your experiences. A special thank you to the 15% who were men and who showed up to listen and to learn. ➡ The "50 Ways to Fight Bias" workshop is an activity developed by Lean In and it helps you to address gender bias head-on. You can bring it to your community or company free of charge thanks to the amazing resources (incl. video and moderator guide) available here: https://lnkd.in/gukSc7wu.
