While age at implantation is a significant factor for the potential benefits of cochlear implants, children who receive CIs later than the recommended guidelines can still achieve an improved quality of life. Donna Sperandio, a teacher of the deaf and Senior Rehabilitation Manager at MED-EL, shares valuable rehabilitation recommendations for children implanted later in our latest MED-EL blog for professionals.
