🌱 New Subsidy for Sustainable and Fair Solar Panels in Amsterdam! 🌱   Amsterdam is increasingly committed to sustainability: Starting August 20, 2024, residents and businesses in Amsterdam can apply for a subsidy for sustainably and fairly produced solar panels. With a budget of €700,000, the city supports the adoption of eco-friendly solutions that emit nearly 50% less CO2 compared to conventional panels and are produced without toxic substances. And now the outlook: sunny with secure yields 🌞 We can see how reliable weather forecasts are by looking outside.  But how can we predict how high the yields of solar modules really are under real weather conditions? The PAN test from Kiwa PVEL evaluates the performance of solar modules under different light and temperature conditions. Three modules are tested under varying light intensities (100 to 1,100 W/m²) and temperatures (15 to 75 °C). The results enable a precise estimate of the actual power production of the modules in everyday use, so that you can make the best and most reliable choice for yourself. We also mastered this test discipline from KIWA as a top performer: in combination with the extremely high power stability and the strong yield on the front and back, the Meyer Burger Glass delivers significantly more yield in the long term and is therefore one of the test winners. No Sagging: This is how our solar modules pass the PID test! 💪⚡ Solar modules need to deliver reliably for decades. So the rule is: No sagging! The PID test examines how susceptible modules are to performance reductions caused by prolonged electrical tension. The Kiwa PVEL ⚡PID testing procedure ⚡ goes beyond standard certifications. Over 192 hours—twice the usual duration—it tests how vulnerable our modules are to performance degradation due to long-term electrical tension. O sole mio! 🎵🌞 Apparently, the composer of this world-famous classic from 1898 already understood the importance of the sun, which today provides us with sustainable and clean energy. On the Italian island of Sicily, the sun shines for 11.6 hours a day in August, keeping solar modules running at full capacity. This roof near Palermo, with its stunning view, is home to 15 bifacial Meyer Burger White modules with a total capacity of 5.8 kWp, expertly installed by our partner Warm Impianti. While the beautiful scenery is breathtaking, it’s also tough on the solar modules. Extremely high temperatures can cause the panels to overheat, reducing their efficiency and output. Coastal regions pose additional challenges; conditions like salt mist can lead to corrosion, which can damage the modules over time and reduce their functionality. Our modules have been rigorously tested and are proven to be well-protected against these and other weather conditions. With their exceptionally low temperature coefficient and certified resistance to salt mist, they remain cool and powerful even under extreme conditions.
