There has been an extensive reform of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law. Amongst other changes, it now includes administrative fines of up to 5% of annual turnover, statutory and exemplary damages in civil actions, severe criminal penalties, enhanced notice requirements, mandatory appointments of chief information security officers and data protection officers, notification and submissions duties, registration, etc. Our dear colleague of Strand Alliance, Dan Or-Hof, has been involved in the legislative process, as a member of the National Protection of Privacy Council, bringing to the legislation table industry-related and practical compliance insights.  And his firm, Or-Hof Law, has been working on a non-official translation of this extensive new regulation into English, which can be obtained by clicking on the following link: https://lnkd.in/dzSDeAue We thank Dan Or-Hof and his great team at Or-Hof Law for this massive piece of work.
