Nomad Aviation is excited to announce that it has successfully phased in an almost brand-new Gulfstream G650ER to its growing charter fleet. The as HB-JLO registered aircraft has joined Nomad Aviation’s Swiss AOC on May 1st, 2024. “Just three weeks after the introduction of this state-of-the-art aircraft, we can already look back on several seamless Atlantic crossings and a much higher number of charter hours performed than expected. The Switzerland based G650ER has already created enormous interest and has come just in time for the busy spring and upcoming summer season. We are very pleased to have added the second Gulfstream G650ER to our fleet and take pride in delivering a full range of VIP charter options, the highest level of service and equipment; and this particular aircraft supports this mission perfectly well”, says Christoph Thurnherr, Vice President Aircraft Management and Charter Sales. “This addition to our fleet supports Nomad Aviation’s success story and is a result of the hard work put in by our entire team. The G650ER reinforces Nomad Aviation’s presence in the VIP charter segment and ideally complements Nomad Aviation’s three-strong charter fleet comprising of a Gulfstream G450, a Bombardier Global 5000 and an Airbus ACJ319”, adds Thomas Köhli, CEO of Nomad Aviation. 

Nomad Technics has recently completed a C-check on a Head of State  Airbus ACJ320 aircraft.   During this large maintenance event which was undertaken on the Airbus ACJ320 by Nomad Technics at its Basel/Switzerland facility, the scheduled inspection saw a thorough examination of the aircraft’s primary and secondary structures. In addition the work included the implementation of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives as well as inspection and modifications to the aircraft’s systems. Cosmetic and functional cabin repairs were performed to improve the passenger’s experience during flight. This included also the thoroughly testing and rectification of the in-flight entertainment system.  Functional and operational tests of all aircraft systems concluded the maintenance job. Despite multiple findings the aircraft was returned to the very satisfied customer on time. „The successful completion of this C-check on the Airbus ACJ320 is another great milestone for Nomad Technics and will enable us to further enhance our capabilities to offer and execute maintenance services not only on Airbus but also on a variety of other aircraft types”, says Thomas Gierlich, CEO of Nomad Technics and adds: „We are very proud of our Airbus maintenance teams and the entire organization behind it who have been performing extremely well. Nomad Technics appoints Thomas Gierlich as new CEO. Nomad Technics has appointed Thomas Gierlich as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Manager. Thomas Gierlich is part of the Nomad Aviation management team where he will be in charge of the group’s maintenance entity Nomad Technics AG in Basel / Switzerland.   Thomas Gierlich has more than 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and business aviation in particular. He joined Nomad Technics in 2021 as Director Maintenance Sales. In this capacity, Thomas has been instrumental in driving the company's growth forward by building lasting relationships with existing and new clients and thereby securing key maintenance projects. Prior to that, Thomas held various positions in Sales, Customer Support and Business Development at Honeywell, EMTEQ and SR Technics. He holds a Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technical University of Munich/Germany.   “Thomas has demonstrated his dedication to Nomad Technics in the last years.
