The Indian Himalayas are celebrated for their majestic landscapes and ecological significance. But it now faces formidable environmental challenges from the ongoing climate crisis. Amidst the challenges are also nature stewards striving to protect and reverse the degradation. Surya-Kunj, a 71-acre eco-restoration site established in 1992 shows us the power of restoration. By leveraging community engagement, they are transforming barren land into thriving and biodiverse landscapes.
