🙏 Namastey from New Delhi 🌏 India's dynamic economic growth creates an attractive environment for export-oriented companies, especially from #Germany, #Austria, and #Switzerland. Yesterday, at the Export Financing Conference in New Delhi, the three export credit agencies Exportkreditgarantien der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Hermesdeckungen), Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (OeKB) and SERV Swiss Export Risk Insurance outlined the advantages and benefits of working with an #ECA when sourcing goods or services from Austria, German or Switzerland - or when working with contractors from these countries. One of the most important advantages is that companies can reduce their average cost of debt by using ECA financing. Thomas Baum kicked off the conference by welcoming over 150 participants. This was followed by an opening address from the Ambassador designate of Switzerland, Her Excellency Maya Tissafi. Subsequently, the initial panel discussion, featuring government representatives Katharina Wieser, Valentin L., and Florin Müller, provided valuable insights to the attendees regarding strategic business partnerships with the Indian government. During a panel discussion Edna Schöne, Markus Hoskovec and Peter Gisler I CEO shared their views on India and South Asia as a centre for trade and as an investment destination. Three exciting case studies were then presented: - The steel industry in India by Sandra Halver-Simons, Stefan Eitel and Adelina Papenburg - The first urban ropeway in India by Shivdutt Das, Mathias Meier, Andres Heusser and Andreas Oel - The so-called Shopping Lines as an interesting product by Maximilian Plank and Carl de Colle. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to H.E. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, for generously sharing his time and delivering such an insightful speech. Furthermore, we would like to thank Swiss Business Hub India and Switzerland Global Enterprise for the excellent organisation on-site. #India #export #exportcreditagencies #exportcreditguaranteesofgermany #exportfinancingconference #swissexport #minimiserisks #maximiseexports

#BUHamburg24 🎤 Tina Rosenbaum, what are the most common challenges faced in delivering lage infrastructure projects from a financing, construction, and risk management perspective?"
📣It’s been an honor for me to be a panelist at the Plenary Meeting of the BU AGM in Hamburg which was held under the title theme #“Collaboration”. Thrilled to have been part of an engaging discussion on “Managing Stakeholder Communication for Post-Issue Project Success” with my dear colleague panelists Dr. Sebastian Hofert von Weiss, Faruq Muhammad, CFA and Thierry EISENSTEIN. 🎙️We elaborated on how important it is to design, implement and - of same importance - live a clear, continuous and transparent communication flow combined with a close collaboration need for all stakeholders. And this especially after financial close of Sovereign Financed and Project Financed Transactions. A big thank you to my fellow panelists and everyone who joined the discussion! #BUHAMBURG24

🌍 Vergangene Woche hat in Paris das 100. #OECD #CountryRisk Experts Meeting stattgefunden. How can European Export Agencies support business in #Vietnam? On Monday the 30th of September, Atradius Dutch State Business, Exportkreditgarantien der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Hermesdeckungen) and SERV Swiss Export Risk Insurance organised a joint event in Ho Chi Minh City. During a very insightful afternoon, the three #ExportCreditAgencies (ECA’s) presented how they can support European companies exporting to Vietnam. But it was even more important to show how Vietnamese companies and projects can benefit from buying #Dutch, #German or #Swiss suppliers. And Vietnamese buyers can benefit from advantages such as longer payment terms, lower interest rates and total financing costs. In front of an audience of 118 visitors, Thomas Baum held the opening speech, representatives of the embassies (Daniël Stork, Dr Josefine Wallat, Mr Aldo de Luca ) gave their view on the opportunities to work together. Mackenzie Masaki provided an overview of ECA financing and gave a short introduction how export credit agencies work, and in a panel discussion Alexandra Lutz, Klaus Schmidberger and Stephan Naber shared their views on the opportunities for international trade. Two interesting case studies, from GE and ING on a combined cycle power plant, and from GELEX GROUP, ENERCON and LBBW on a wind farm, gave a clear picture on the opportunities advantages and possibilities there are for European and Vietnamese companies to work together. We’re excited about the potential for future collaborations and innovative projects that the insights we shared can inspire! We would like to thank the speakers Marco Appolloni (GE), Lukas Strauch (ING), Fabian Brunschwiler (SERV) and @Bui Khoa (GELEX), Steffen Brauns (Enercon), Stefan Rethmeier (LBBW), Quynh Le Le (Euler Hermes) for their contributions to our event. Furthermore we would like to thank Dutch Business Association Vietnam DBAV 🇳🇱 for the excellent local organisation. #AtradiusDutchStateBusiness #EulerHermes #SERV #GE #GELEX #Enercon #LBBW #Internationaltrade #Export #Vietnam #exportcreditguarantees
