When the idea of crafting a natural soap together with VitraHaus first emerged, we felt an instant spark of inspiration. We're pleased to introduce you to our newest scent collaboration EVER GREEN, inspired by the Vitra Campus gardens. 🌿 Hanna Olzon Åkerström and Johan Olzon Åkerström, the founders of Soeder, and Till Weber, Creative Director Interiors & Scenography at Vitra, worked in close collaboration to create the scent of the liquid soap. Whether used as a hand wash or in the shower, EVER GREEN natural soap reveals fresh notes of mint and citrus, grounded with the warmth of patchouli. The composition is balanced with the subtle but complex spice-infused, herbaceous scent of laurel. A branch of the evergreen laurel plant is also the signet of Soeder’s cooperation with VitraHaus, adorning the EVER GREEN bottles as an abstract motif. Like all Soeder natural soaps, EVER GREEN is based on the principle of true soap. Crafted using the traditional saponification method, it features 100% natural ingredients. The scents are derived from the finest essential oils. Free from artificial additives, EVER GREEN harnesses the nourishing power of cold-pressed organic oils, wheat protein, Swiss honey, and shea butter. Authenticity shines through not just in the captivating scent but also in the beautiful design of our bottle, crafted using the timeless linocut technique. As part of the VitraHaus experience, EVER GREEN is now featured in all its washrooms. You can also find it in Vitra showrooms across major cities, including London, Paris, Stockholm, Madrid, and Amsterdam. Additionally, EVER GREEN is available at VitraHaus and in all Soeder stores. Welcome to our new factory! 🎊 We are extremely proud of our latest milestone, with the opening of our new factory in the heart of Zürich. We want to warmly welcome you inside our dream Soeder space, conceived with our core values of transparency, sustainability, and creativity. 🫧 The project has been led by our Co-Founders, with Hanna Olzon Åkerström's architectural vision coupled with Johan Olzon-Åkerström’s pioneering developments in sustainable production, transforming the historic Swiss National Rail halls of Werkstadt Zürich into the site of our HQ, production, scent lab and much more. Together, we have materialised a lasting vision for this ecologically conscious, vibrant urban factory. Across 2000 m², all work areas sit side by side and visitors can view each aspect of production from the outside. Daylight streams through the factory thanks to our large skylights and glass throughout the space, with soft terracotta colours from natural materials enhancing the integration. The transparency that guides the company is truly reflected in this open space concept as well as the character of the listed building. In addition, the Soeder factory is designed for sustainability. As we are set to become energy positive within the next years, we will deploy several techniques to achieve it. For instance, our waste reduction will be maximised. We reduce packaging waste, and reuse resources wherever possible. Also, the installment of an advanced energy recovery system to capture and reuse the heat generated during soap production. Our water use will be precisely controlled, with water energy captured for cooling processes to reduce overall consumption. We have solar panels on the roof, too. All the systems we will put in place combine to improve our efficiency and set us on the path to complete sustainability. What do you get if you cross Soeder with MONoPOLE? A refill bike, of course?! In our continued pursuit of a refillution, we are so happy to have joined forces with the amazing Swiss bike brand, MONOPoLE to make Soeder’s very own portable refill station, circumnavigating Zurich to help people refill their favorite products. MONoPOLE’s high-quality bikes are developed in Switzerland and made in Europe. A cargo bike for all situations and just like our glass bottles, these bikes focus on sustainability. We’re thrilled to welcome one to the Soeder fleet. We took our refill bike to three different waste recycling locations throughout Zurich on Refill Weekend, where we distributed free soap refills and saved many bottles from being thrown away. We refilled vinegar bottles, silver onion jars, preserving jars, beer bottles, wine bottles, cosmetic bottles, and also some iconic Soeder bottle designs and past editions.
