🌍 A strong alliance for the health of young people in Tanzania! 🌍 Today we had a productive meeting in Geneva with our partner organisation Enfants du Monde. As part of our alliance, we are working closely together to sustainably improve youth health in Tanzania. Thanks to the optimal complementarity of our competences - Enfants du Monde contributes in knowledge in the field of education 📚 and SolidarMed supports with medical expertise 🩺 - we create comprehensive and sustainable solutions to promote the sexual and reproductive health of young people. This important project is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Together, we can bring about long-term changes that will strengthen the future of the young generation in Tanzania. 💪 #Healthneedsteamwork #Alliance #SDC #Tanzania #Youthhealth #Education #Sustainability Eliane Kiener Patrick Thomas Jochen Ehmer Michael A. We were excited to take part in this year's EPFL Forum, a unique platform that brings together companies, start-ups, and NGOs to connect with talented individuals. The warm welcome and the many insightful discussions were truly inspiring! Our conversations revolved around innovative approaches and partnerships aimed at developing solutions to improve healthcare in the Global South. It was a pleasure to exchange ideas and explore the potential for impactful collaborations. #partnershipsforhealth #teamgesundheit #innovation Andreas Rösch Thomas Vandamme

Insights from an outreach with the mobile health clinic that took place this week: The #Team in Tanzania is doing great work to bring healthcare to underserved populations! 👏
As the Project Manager for the Primary Healthcare Project- Ubuntu (PHC), I recently had the privilege of visiting our outreach services with a mobile health clinic and observing the resilience of the communities we serve. In one of the most remote areas, I witnessed an inspiring sight: men, alongside mother-baby pairs, actively seeking healthcare services through our mobile health clinic. In recent months, our diligent efforts to enhance Health-seeking behaviours, particularly among men, have yielded tangible results. The increasing number of men taking proactive steps to manage their health reflects the progress we are achieving. Our PHC project under SolidarMed Tanzania, is underpinned by a mission to ensure inclusivity, focusing on the semi-nomadic, hard-to-reach, and underserved populations of Malinyi DC. We are unwavering in our commitment to delivering vital Healthcare services to areas where they are most needed. #HealthForAll #PHC #MobileHealth #SolidarMed #NoOneisLeftBehind #HealthcareAccess #CommunityHealth

Yesterday, we had our annual #knowledge #exchange with our friends at the Swiss Red Cross in Bern. Open exchanges between NGOs are so important, needed and inspiring. Thank you so much Swiss Red Cross for the great organisation and moderation on such - still unsolved - topic: „cholera: prevention and response“. Seeing and hearing about your ORP (oral rehydration points) and exchanging about our experiences in cholera outbreak management in Mozambique 🇲🇿 gave so many valuable insights and ideas for project development and collaborations! Can’t wait for the next exchange in 2025! #knowledgemanagement #solidarmed #swissredcross #cholera #prevention #control #lessonslearnt
