Im Heuried was constructed with a prefabricated wood system, except for the stairs; these act as an important bracing element, binding the whole together and proposing a mineral path from entrance to apartment. The project, right in front of Freibad Heuried, was concluded in early 2024 and takes up the rhythm of the urban context around it. Construction at Forchstrasse carries on at a steady pace. The old envelope has been completely removed and preparations for the new concrete expansion of the facade is under way. This adaptive reuse scheme incorporates modern urban aesthetic needs and reflects Zurich's ongoing urban evolution through classic and lasting materials.
