A student-built car races through the desert – powered by the sun and Stäubli electrical connectors ☀️ We like to see our electric connectors’ performance being challenged, highlighting their immense potential for sustainable industries such as renewable energy and test and measurement. This is what Innoptus Solar Team, a group of engineering students from KU Leuven, has recently proved by winning the Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa. Equipped with connector technology by Stäubli, they’ve been able to manage South Africa’s heat, wind and large differences in altitude throughout an eight-day competition.
