ST’s newest biosensor: the ST1VAFE3BX combines and synchronizes biopotential inputs with an ST accelerometer and a machine learning core, thus opening the way for the next generation of healthcare wearables needing to rein in their energy consumption. Additionally, its tiny package (2 mm x 2 mm x 0.74 mm) helps reduce costs and PCB space. The overall design also requires less power, thus alleviating the need for a more complex system architecture. 🎙️ Edoardo Auteri, Sustainability champion for the Asia region, spoke at the Semiconductor Leadership Summit (SLS) in Singapore, organized by SEMI. He shared insights on the strategies and practices that will enable STMicroelectronics to achieve our sustainability commitments. He confirmed #STMicroelectronics’ goal to become carbon neutral on scope 1 & 2 and partially scope 3 by 2027, and introduced the five main strategies we have established: reducing our emissions, investing in energy savings, using renewable energy, minimizing our indirect emissions, and offsetting remaining emissions. SLS was a great opportunity to listen to other industry leaders and engage in substantial discussions on energy and sustainability in the industry.
