At GILW25, SUISSENÉGOCE Secretary General joined Richard Watts(HR Maritime), Jérémie Girod(Terraxis SA), Benoît Chamayou(Gunvor Group) and Cyrus Siassi(SIASSI MCCUNN BUSSARD) to discuss a key issue: Geneva is a global trading hub, yet companies still turn to London for dispute resolution. SUISSENÉGOCE fully supports efforts to enhance Switzerland’s legal framework and revive initiatives like ACT, a visionary project that was supported by SUISSENÉGOCE, aimed at creating a dedicated mediation and arbitration center for commodity trading. While ACT did not gain the momentum originally hoped for, the legal landscape has evolved, and now is the time to act. With growing competition from hubs like Singapore and Dubai, Switzerland must adapt to offer a strong, local alternative.
