In the wake of the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), Swiss companies are expected to strengthen their footprint even further in India in the coming years. Understanding dispute prevention and resolution and investor protection is key to ensure successful market entry and growth. Today, the #Federal Council adopted its message on the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement #TEPA between the #EFTA states and #India. The agreement strengthens the competitiveness of Swiss exports and promotes Swiss investments in the world's most populous and fast growing country. The successful conclusion of this comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the European Free Trade Association EFTA and India is a significant milestone in Swiss foreign trade policy. In its message, the Federal Council commends and sets out the content of the agreement and places it in the overall context of Switzerland's long-standing positive and fruitful relations with India. Parliament is expected to debate the message in the upcoming winter or spring sessions with the goal to notify ratification by Switzerland in summer 2025. The Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce fully supports this important step towards a strong economic partnership with India. economiesuisse Swissmem Swissrail Industry Association scienceindustries Switzerland Global Enterprise Swiss Textiles SECO Wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung
