Swissblock is proud to have been represented by Nikolay Gudkov at the 12th World Congress of the Bachelier Finance Society from July 8-12 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). This prestigious biannual event brings together academics, practitioners, and researchers in Quantitative Finance. Nikolay presented his recent academic paper, “Empirical Analysis of Crude Oil Dynamics Using Affine vs. Non-affine Jump-Diffusion Models,” co-authored with collaborators from UNSW Sydney, Australia. The paper introduces a complex statistical framework for modeling crude oil spot and derivative markets, with potential applications for other highly volatile markets, including crypto. In addition to presenting, Nikolay attended a series of talks on mathematical finance delivered by leading researchers from around the world. Topics included machine learning methods for artificial time series generation, market impact analysis and optimal execution, volatility forecasting, and market microstructure. These sessions aimed to expose the latest developments and identify opportunities for potential collaborations. Through his participation, Nikolay enhanced Swissblock’s visibility among young researchers and reinforced our position as a leader in quantitative finance and market analysis. Meet Imre Vincze, our innovative Chief Technology Officer at Swissblock! Imre's journey with us began in January 2023 as the Head of Engineering, and he has rapidly grown to his current role as CTO in January 2024. In June 2022, Imre found a job ad on LinkedIn that matched his experience perfectly. Located in Baar, it intrigued him, and after a thorough 3+ month interview process, he joined Swissblock. With a strong background in Computer Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Imre's impressive career includes pivotal roles at UBS, flovtec, and Custodigit. At Swissblock, Imre leads the Technology team across the entire company. He is at the helm of software engineering, system architecture, and automated trading platform delivery. Additionally, he is responsible for IT strategy, budget, and roadmap planning and execution. We're proud to have Imre driving technological innovation and excellence at Swissblock, and we look forward to the continued advancements under his leadership.

Is the Bull Market at an End? Crypto and BTC are still going through a strong consolidation. But what does Equities tell us? We have posted this clear “Cup&Handle" structure in Nasdaq before. And it is still in play. It suggests a MINIMUM target of 21700ish. We are not there yet!  So - Bull Market seems to be intact - and we also think that the minimum target will be surpassed.
