𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 At Swisspearl, we are committed to achieving carbon neutrality across Scope 1, 2, and 3 by 2040. As part of our journey, we’ve implemented an energy consumption reduction program that has initiated several impactful projects at our manufacturing sites. Focusing on Scope 1, where natural gas presents our greatest challenge, we’ve explored and trialed multiple strategies aimed at reducing its use. While we are progressing carefully to ensure our product quality remains uncompromised, we are proud to report significant progress. Over the past years, we have successfully reduced our CO2e emissions by 16%, with emissions in 2023 being 3,500 tons lower than in 2022. 𝗜𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 💧 In our Zero-wastewater factory in Lohja in Finland, we used over 21,000 m³ of water last year to produce Swisspearl boards for all markets across Europe. Despite this, not a single drop of production wastewater leaves our facility! 🚫💧 All water is either integrated into the boards (approx. 5% water content) or evaporates. Water used for manufacturing and cleaning is purified internally and reused. Fine fibre cement particles are filtered out and either reintegrated into our products or given to partners for public construction projects. Our closed-loop wastewater treatment is rigorously controlled to ensure no environmental risks. 🌿🔄 #Sustainability #Swisspearl #CircularEconomy

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲: 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 ♻️ In 2023, Swisspearl successfully reintegrated 1,917 tonnes of dry fibre-cement waste back into our own products. This is equivalent to approximately 80 full truck loads.
