Today, SWISSto12 announces a major step forward on the development of the HummingSat product line with Preliminary Design Review (PDR) meetings held on both the Intelsat 45 and Inmarsat 8 missions. In partnership with European Space Agency - ESA, we are developing our Geostationary Small Satellite, HummingSat for our two anchor customers: global satellite operators and industry leaders Intelsat and Viasat + Inmarsat Thanks to our partners we are seeing excellent progress on the design and optimization of #HummingSat to enable uncompromised 15-year missions in #GEO. Last year for Switzerland's Bike to Work month, we committed to cycling the equivalent distance of geostationary orbit, 35'786km by 2030. 🚲 However, it turns out that our team is just too fast. So, this year, we’ve raised the stakes. The new goal: cycle 35'786 km before our GEO SmallSat, HummingSat, launches into orbit in 2026.
