Blandy & Blandy Solicitors has been recognised by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) for administering £10.14M in donations to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work via clients’ Wills over the last two decades. 🏆 During this time, Blandy & Blandy has also facilitated more than £2.15M in legacy gifts pledged to the charity via the Cancer Research UK Free Will Service – money that will be of vital assistance to the charity over future years. Blandy & Blandy has been supporting Cancer Research UK’s Free Will Service for more than 25 years, giving guidance and support to those wishing to write or update their Will. Blandy & Blandy is the only firm in Reading, Henley-on-Thames or Wokingham to support the Free Will Service. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading Cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research and Gifts in Wills fund over a third of the charity’s life-saving research. Caroline Casagranda, a partner in Blandy & Blandy’s Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, said: “We ae very proud to have been recognised by Cancer Research UK in this way and would like to thank Susan Robertson for visiting our offices to present our firm this this award. One in two people will get Cancer in their lifetime and, like most people, many of us at the firm have friends or family who have been affected by Cancer. Our colleagues’ work and and our clients’ pledges mean that we are helping to fund vital research for future generations”. We are delighted to announce that Claire Dyer is to become Blandy & Blandy Solicitors' new Chair. Claire, who joined Blandy & Blandy on qualification in 2006 before becoming a partner in 2015, will succeed Nick Burrows. Nick has held the role for the past three years, contributing a great deal during that time and the firm is very pleased to say that he will continue with us focussing on his ongoing role as Head of Charities & Education. Acknowledged as one of the leading Family lawyers in the region, Claire is recommended in the UK's leading guides to law firms, Chambers UK and The Legal 500, and is recognised in the highest band 1 category and as a 'leading individual' respectively. Blandy & Blandy is also ranked as a top tier firm for Family Law in both guides and has twice been shortlisted in the 'Family Law Firm of the Year - South' category at the Family Law Awards in London. Welcoming Claire into the role, joint managing partner Tim Clark said: “I am delighted that Claire will be our new Chair.
