Exciting news! 🌿 We've reached the $100,000 milestone for our #ReforestingBaran project, thanks to the incredible support of our partners including Simfoni, Dulsco, and Planet Earth Now. The recent funding enables us to embark on Stage 2 of our journey in Baran, where we'll be: 1️⃣ Building 3 additional ponds 2️⃣ Bringing water to more than 1,000 people 3️⃣ Planting 10,000 trees This moves us closer to our 10-year vision, where together with The Flow Partnership, we aim to help more than 100,000 people, plant 350,000 trees, and regenerate over 125 sq km of degraded soil. 🌏 Are you interested in partnering with us? Our work has already begun, and you have an opportunity to become a part of our team driving sustainable change. partnership@therocketfoundation.org #GetOnBoard #CorporateSocialResponsibility #EnvironmentalSustainability #ClimateAction #SustainableDevelopment

This inspiring and thought-provoking documentary on the Jal Sahelis, part of the outstanding Sisters of the Earth series by Pascale d'Erm-Gasselin tells the story of not just the fight for water, but for equal rights between men and women in India. It is through this documentary that the Rocket Foundation was introduced to The Flow Partnership and the Reforesting Baran Project. It tells the story of the Guardians of the Water, who have taken responsibility for safeguarding their most precious resource. Showcasing the broader impact of collective action and environmental stewardship, not just in improving their livelihoods, but empowering the women who are bringing balance back to our planet and shaping a better future. We encourage you to watch this powerful documentary on Arte; and we hope that inspiration leads to action and support for their amazing work: https://lnkd.in/dWm3eRAd #getonboard #femaleempowerment #communityaction #ecosystemrestoration
Update from our pond in Guwari, Rajasthan 🌱💧 We are thrilled to share some of the latest photos from our Reforesting Baran project in India, where the first ponds we built are already making a huge difference within just a few months. These pictures show the land in Guwari before, and after the rains - our pond there has collected more that 33,000m3 of water. In villages like Bhoyal and Ranipura, for the first time ever, farmers are able to plant and harvest, thanks to reliable water access for irrigation! These communities are now farming on land that was previously unproductive due to water scarcity. The transformation is already visible, and this is just the beginning. 🌾 Immediate impact: Villagers can grow crops, creating food security and new livelihoods. 🌱 Long-term potential: Sustainable water resources will continue to enable farming and reforestation, contributing towards wider prosperity & poverty alleviation, alongside environmental restoration. This is just a glimpse of the incredible progress we’ve made. Stay tuned for more updates and insights on how we’re scaling this initiative to transform communities across the region. 🌍 #GetOnBoard #CorporateSocialResponsibility #EnvironmentalSustainability #ClimateAction #SustainableDevelopment

Telling the story of our Ranipura pond in Baran. This pond was built thanks to the generous support of The Ten and Lakemore Partners . Around the pond and across the village 5,000 trees were planted, the first steps towards restoring the forest cover which once thrived here. In September 2024 this pond is full and overflowing - having collected 27,000m3 of water......a resource that is life changing for the community. This water will transform the village – sustaining agriculture, providing food, and preventing the need for migration. We’re truly amazed by the work of The Flow Partnership and the powerful impact these ponds are having across the region. And this is just the beginning. As we continue to build and restore more water bodies throughout the basin, we envision even greater transformations – linking these lifelines to multiply their impact for the people and the environment. Together, we’re bringing life back to the land. 🌱 Interested to get involved? ♻️ Revival Autos had two 60-year-old Austin Healey engines. Instead of discarding them, they sold these "trash" engines to a classic car garage to be reused into other classic cars. 💡 The twist? Profits go directly to our #ReforestingBaran project in India (the “Treasure!”). The buyer even paid a premium, inspired by the project's mission. Now that's what we call a win-win-win! This partnership embodies: 🔧 Innovation: Breathing new life into classic engines 🌿 Sustainability: Reducing waste through creative reuse 🤝 Community: Supporting global reforestation efforts This collaboration showcases how businesses can align profit with purpose, turning "trash into treasure" for the benefit of our planet as well as the local communities. Sharing Blue Ventures latest update and celebrating their successes. Over the past 12 months the area of ocean under protection by Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMA's) rose by 20%, surpassing 20,000km2!! This is protecting carbon rich, high biodiversity coastal seas in 20 low income tropical countries. We are also excited to see the continued expansion of the project we started together in the Philippines. BV are currently planning a local base in Cebu and to expand their support to 15 Fisheries Management Bodies and 4 local NGOs here. This growth is incredible and reflects both the need and the opportunity to protect the rich biodiversity here, from the mangrove forests of the coasts, to the coral reef covers of the depths. #GetOnBoard #EnvironmentalSustainability #ClimateAction #SustainableDevelopment #MakeADifference

Great to see Earth Flag One being flown at our Guwari pond in India. 🌍 The Earth Flag One symbolises our commitment to fighting climate change and protecting biodiversity — especially in regions like Baran that are on the frontlines of the climate crisis. In Baran we focus on water retention, soil regeneration, and reforestation. Working to restore the ecosystem and transform the lives of hundreds of local communities. Together with The Flow Partnership, we’re empowering these communities to manage water resources effectively and build resilience in the face of climate and economic challenges. Guwari was our first pond completed in Autumn 2023. Since then, we’ve created 4 additional ponds and continue expanding, aiming to regenerate the entire catchment area. 🌱💧Get in touch to join us on this journey: partnership@therocketfoundation.org #GetOnBoard #EnvironmentalSustainability #ClimateAction #SustainableDevelopment #Ecosystemregeneration
