This year, as gifts for our distinguished panelists, Lviv Handmade Chocolate (Львівська Майстерня Шоколаду) presented sets from the Levynskyi Collection.   This unique chocolate collection is inspired by the personality and creative legacy of Ivan Levynskyi, a renowned architect and builder from the late 19th and early 20th centuries whose legacy can be seen throughout Lviv including in the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre.  Levynskyi also had a deep love of Ukrainian folk art and his ceramic creations reflect this. Those ceramics serve as the inspiration for the new chocolate collection and the chocolate tablets are miniature replicas of Ivan Levynskyi's ceramic stove tiles.  “Every color, pattern, and detail in this collection is a tribute to Ivan Levynskyi, an expression of our admiration for his work and an homage to Lviv—the city we call home and the legacy we cherish." 🏆 The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) shares in our ‘Best Hospitality’ award from Politico EU thanks to their cooperation with our Networking Evening focused on Purpose Drive Growth: Scaling Ukraine’s Strengths and Pioneering the Future. 🇺🇦📈 At the event, KSE President, Tymofiy Mylovanov was joined on stage by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, to present an array of guides and handbooks meticulously prepared by KSE’s world renown researchers for those looking to know more about investing in Ukraine. 📚 Since the beginning of the war, under the leadership of Tymofiy Mylovanov, KSE has rapidly adapted and accelerated. For example, as well as teaching its students, KSE also acts as key advisors of the government on economic policies and companies on supply chains; it’s an incubator of military tech start-ups, it partners with the World Bank on assessing war damages and has become a world authority on Russian sanctions, much quoted in the international media. KSE faculty and graduates are also major influencers in Ukrainian economic policy and Ukraine’s recovery. 🏆 KERNEL shares in our ‘Best Hospitality’ award from Politico EU thanks to their cooperation with our Ukrainian-Style Networking Evening! 🌻 Kernel is one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural companies which operates an extensive agricultural logistics network, including its own port infrastructure and fleet of vessels. 🌾📙 Keen to convey the message of global importance to protect Ukrainian seaports and export infrastructure to Davos, Kernel took the opportunity to present a stunning coffee table book, ‘The Path of Grain’ at their Networking evening. Through beautiful photos and illustrations, it tells the story of how Ukrainian grain makes its way to people around the world, even in the most difficult conditions. 🐝 Attendees of the evening were treated to a taste of Ukrainian cuisine - from the national loaf of bread to honey collected from minefields (specially highlighted by Politico EU). Our final panel ‘Release the $350bn in Frozen Russian Assets: Shifting the Cost Burden from Western Taxpayers to the Aggressor’ offered fresh insight into a critical issue launched at the House last year. It was a powerful way to cap off an incredible week at Ukraine House Davos.  Moderated by Ambassador John E. Herbst, Senior Director of the Eurasia Center at the Atlantic Council, this panel heard insights from the leaders of the campaign to seize Russian state assets. 🇺🇦 Sir Bill Browder (Founder and CEO, Hermitage Capital Management) argued that if Trump didn’t want to “give American money to Ukraine to support them… [he should] grab the $300bn.”  Yuliya Ziskina (Senior Legal Fellow, Razom) argued that the conditions for taking action were there when “90 per cent of Russian reserves are being held in cash in banks around the world” - what was required was coordinated global action.  📈 Participants also pointed to the global benefit of freezing these assets. “This has to be done and it is in everyone’s interests,” said Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Artem Shevalev, Alternate Board Director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), added “It’s not only about a fair outcome or making sure Ukraine has access to those additional funds, it’s also about making sure that the Ukrainian allies globally benefit.”  #UkraineHouseDavos #UHD2025 #Davos

☀️ Ukraine’s bright future was on show at our panel ‘Leadership, Competitiveness, Sustainability: Success Stories of Ukraine’s Top Investors and Enterprises’. Lenna Koszarny, Founding Partner and CEO, Horizon Capital, was clear in the importance of investing now: “This is a historic moment, a historic opportunity to not only enter Ukraine, but also transform sectors.” She also highlighted the key role that investors can play, using the example of Horizon Capital’s incredible success: “We’re proud of the $1.8 billion, we’re proud that we raised the largest fund for Ukraine, we couldn’t have done that without all the institutional investors who backed us.” We heard about the important work that INTERPIPE is doing in Ukraine from Alexander Garkavij, Director of Railway Products Division: “Our five facilities provide 9,000 jobs for Ukrainians in this region (close to the frontline).” Finally, Matteo Patrone, Vice President, Banking, EBRD, reminded us of the key message: “The moment to invest in Ukraine is now.” 🎙️Moderated by Katya Soldak, Editorial Director, Forbes Media’s international editions, this event also featured Duncan Nightingale, Chairman of the Board, Ukrnafta.   #UkraineHouseDavos #UHD2025 #Davos

Our eagerly awaited panel, ‘Ukraine: A $12 Trillion Critical Mineral Superpower’, in cooperation with BGV GROUP MANAGEMENT, was one of the most important discussions of the week, according to Lenna Koszarny, CEO, Horizon Capital and panel moderator.  ⛏️ Ukraine’s critical raw materials offer immense investment opportunities that have become a top focus for Ukraine’s government and core to future strategic partnerships.   Oleksii Sobolev, CFA, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine shared that in their government-to-government discussions, “mentioning critical raw materials gets immediate attention. It shows how strategic they are to all governments and they all understand that fact.”   Oleksandr (Sasha) Kravchenko, Managing Partner, McKinsey & Company Ukraine, explained Ukraine’s strong position on the global stage in this sector:  “The combination of Ukraine’s incredible resources base but also a unique additional set of capabilities, infrastructure, proximity, and labour, makes Ukraine a very unique and strong partner to build these value chains together with allies in this changing context.” 🦅 (Rtd) Rear Admiral Michael Hewitt, Co-Founder & CEO, IP3, agreed: “Ukraine has the technology, Ukraine has the people, Ukraine brings in nuclear power and all of a sudden you are satisfying the climate change agenda, the energy sovereignty agenda, the energy dominance agenda.”  Hewitt was optimistic about the prospect of U.S. collaboration with Ukraine on critical raw materials saying, “The conversation in the Trump administration is going to be about getting off of Chinese graphite, getting off of Russian uranium and Russian fuel. The most important country to help us do that is Ukraine.” Sergii Voitsehovskyi, Board Member, BGV Group Management, gave a gift of graphite to Ukraine House Davos to represent Ukraine’s status as the number one source of graphite in Europe. His presentation on the level of critical raw materials in Ukraine highlighted how essential the material is for the 21st century economy. He pointed out that compared to the timeline of other countries in their mining projects, Ukraine is “advanced in speed, bringing their projects to fruition in a very short period of time.” #UkraineHouseDavos #UHD2025 #Davos #BGVGroupManagement
