Over 40 participants selected for the next editions of the Business Concept course, which will be held at the USI Startup Centre in Lugano and at the Accademia di Architettura - USI in Mendrisio, met at the East Campus for the “Bootcamp” event this week. A great mix of different backgrounds, profiles and experiences! During this first session led by Paulo Gonçalves, USI professor, director of USI Executive MBA, EMBA and entrepreneur, the aspiring founders received useful insights on the startup journey, explored different team dynamics and discovered the projects they will be working on for the next 3 months 🚀 Welcome on board to all the Business Concept students! We look forward to watching these entrepreneurial ideas evolve during the course, as participants learn more about value proposition design, financial planning, building customer relations and much more, leading them to the final pitch event 🎤 _ "Business Concept" is a module of the “Entrepreneurship Training Programme” of Innosuisse. The implementation in Ticino is coordinated by USI Startup Centre (USI Università della Svizzera italiana) in collaboration with University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland. #swissentrepreneurshiptraining

This week InVirtuoLabs and MicThera, two life sciences startups supported through our incubation programme, presented their cutting-edge technologies to an audience of industry leaders and potential investors during the Rising Stars Session of the 18th Annual European Life Sciences CEO Forum organised by Sachs Associates.   🧬 InVirtuoLabs develops an innovative platform for drug discovery by combining advanced machine learning techniques with physics-based simulations. 🔬 MicThera is a spin-off company of Institute of Oncology Research (IOR) that develops a drug discovery platform to identify microbiome-derived therapeutics.
