🌟Retour sur la semaine dernière🌟 Vendredi 24 janvier, Visions du Réel a eu le plaisir d’organiser son traditionnel Brunch Mimosa dans le cadre des 60e Journées de Soleure. Un grand merci aux Journées de Soleure d'avoir une nouvelle fois accueilli cet événement, ainsi qu’à toutes et à tous pour votre présence et votre enthousiasme ! Januar hatte Visions du Réel das Vergnügen, seinen traditionellen Mimosa Brunch im Rahmen des 60. Solothurner Filmtage auszurichten. Raymond Loretan, président de Visions du Réel depuis 2019, annonce qu’il quittera ses fonctions à l’issue de la prochaine édition du festival, prévue du 4 au 13 avril 2025. Ce départ signe la fin d’une période riche en transformation et en succès pour le festival, tout en ouvrant la voie à une transition pleine de promesses pour l’avenir. – (DE) Raymond Loretan, seit 2019 Präsident von Visions du Réel, gibt bekannt, dass er am Ende des kommenden, vom 4. bis 13. Jury des jeunes (4–13.4.2025) ✨ Le Jury des jeunes (16-21 ans) pose un regard frais sur la section courts et moyens métrages. Les juré·e·s verront plus de trente films en compétition, remettront deux prix et pourront profiter de tout ce qui entoure la vie d’un festival: rencontres, discussions, fêtes. Aucun prérequis n’est nécessaire pour participer à cette expérience inoubliable, si ce n’est d’être curieux·se !  – The Youth Jury (16-21 years old) casts a fresh look over the short and medium films section.  As a jury member, you will have the opportunity to see the films that are in competition and you’ll also take part in the debates, discussions and parties. 🎬 Academy-award winner Asif Kapadia to open VdR–Industry We are thrilled to announce that Academy Award-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia will be the opening speaker of the 23rd edition of VdR–Industry! 🎥 👉 Known for his iconic works such as Senna, Amy, and Diego Maradona, Kapadia recently premiered his dystopian docu-drama 2073 at the Venice International Film Festival. 🚨 Last call for projects – Norwegian Previews during VdR–Industry! 🎬 The Norwegian Previews program, presented by the Norwegian Film Institute (NFI), is looking for unfinished Norwegian documentary projects to be showcased during the VdR–Industry Days! A selection of works-in-progress will be presented, offering an opportunity for filmmakers to connect with key industry professionals. ✨ Eligibility criteria: Each project by a Norwegian filmmaker or a filmmaker based in Norway must be submitted by a production company headquartered in Norway. Producers may submit one or more projects. If they submit multiple projects, each project must come from a different author. 📣 Guest of Honour / Invité d’honneur 2025: Raoul Peck Nous aurons l'honneur et le plaisir d’accueillir le très grand cinéaste haïtien Raoul Peck en tant qu’Invité d’honneur de la 56e édition. Réalisateur incontournable de la fin du 20e siècle et du 21e siècle – ayant signé notamment I Am Not Your Negro, nommé aux Oscars en 2017, ou Ernest Cole, photographe, lauréat de l'Oeil d'Or au dernier Festival de Cannes – le cinéaste a ancré une œuvre complexe entremêlant fiction et documentaire dans un engagement politique profond, à travers des films internationalement reconnus. Raoul Peck prendra part à la prochaine édition du Festival à l’occasion d’une masterclass et d’une rétrospective de son œuvre documentaire. Cet hommage est rendu possible grâce à la collaboration fertile avec la Cinémathèque suisse et de ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne. – We're delighted to announce that the Guest of Honour for its 56th edition will be renowned Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck. one of the most important filmmakers of the late 20th and early 21st century – whose work includes I Am Not Your Negro, nominated for an Oscar in 2017, and photographer Ernest Cole, winner of the Oeil d'Or at the last Cannes Film Festival – the filmmaker has anchored his complex body of work, which includes internationally acclaimed feature films and documentaries, in a deep political commitment.
