🔔👗 Calling #Fashion & #Textile industry professionals! How do you quantify the benefits of sourcing feedstock from regenerative agriculture practices? Discover the insights from our latest webinar on #RegenerativeAgriculture —Fashion & Textile edition: 1.💰For a brand with $1B revenue, switching to regenerative feedstock is projected to result in a cumulative $100 million opportunity & profits projected to increase by average 6% in five years (BCG, 2023). 2.📊Many fashion brands are trying to achieve #Decarbonization & nature goals, but only a few realize sourcing regenerative feedstock is a key strategic move to achieve these targets: using regenerative feedstock supports #NetZero transition plans cutting #Scope3 emissions & results in positive outcomes for #Nature, #Biodiversity & #Communities. These benefits can be quantified and communicated internally and externally by applying the #CircularTransitionIndicators (CTI) framework. 3.🌱Through CTI, VF Corporation could measure a reduction of 91% in land-use and land-use change by switching to regenerative feedstock. 4. 🚀Most of the fashion brands struggle to understand how to switch to regenerative feedstock. It starts with brands establishing equitable partnerships with their sourcing partners, farming communities, and collaborating with their internal business departments to ensure the right outcomes are tracked. OP2B and Textile Exchange joined to share their work on how to measure and report on #RegenAg. Join the wave! 🌊 Click here to access the webinar recording & slides & to signal your interest in the CTI Fashion Initiative: https://lnkd.in/g25UqtkS Special thanks to our insightful & inspiring speakers Niccolò Gervasoni Dana Rakha-Michalon Marc Gijsbers Sarah Kelley Hanna Denes for talking thoroughly about their work driving the business transformation!

What role should businesses play in road transport decarbonization? Our latest blog posts explores why public-private collaboration is essential to accelerate zero-emission vehicles adoption 👇 🌏 Road transport is responsible for 20% of global emissions. This is a substantial amount - but the transport and mobility sector has the knowledge and solutions to decarbonize. 🚗 At the current pace of change, deployment of electric cars will exceed 2030 targets, and most medium and heavy-duty vehicles are set to reach price parity with their diesel counterparts by 2030. However, trillions in investment are still required to scale and maintain the necessary infrastructure. Corporates, investors, and governments are engaging in cross-value chain partnerships to collectively advance zero-emission mobility and freight. 💡Businesses can also find a competitive edge by using this opportunity to deliver related benefits to public health, nature, and quality of social habitat. WBCSD will be working to catalyze road transport electrification in 2024-25, through the Zero-Emission Vehicle Emerging Markets Initiative and the Collective for Clean Transport Finance - both part of the global architecture of ZEVTC Global Transition Roadmap. 🔗 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/dz2yHsux #NetZero #ElectricVehicles #ZeroEmissionVehicles #GreenCorridor #decarbonization #transport

“Business is now really taking a very pragmatic approach, not giving up on the goal of where we need to go, but really managing it step by step” ➡️ Last week, WBCSD President and CEO Peter Bakker spoke to TIME about the environmental work many businesses are doing behind the scenes. 🌎 Despite public skepticism towards the viability of private sector climate action, and the fear of provoking greenwashing accusations, plenty of companies are continuing to press forward with decarbonization efforts. Rather than making big, glittery commitments - which often raise concerns about feasibility - businesses are focusing on taking practical, tangible steps towards emissions reduction. Although corporate climate action still needs to be significantly scaled and accelerated, it is promising to see that decarbonization is not being overlooked. 🔗 Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/eAbqnRvp
