Thank you all for amazing Zurich Design Weeks 2024! 18 days, 3 partner events, 5 landmarks, 26 exhibitions and showrooms, 6 open studios, 5 newcomers, 10 workshops, 19 talks, and 9 walks shaped the design-filled September. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our partners and participants. Without you, we could not have experienced such a wonderful Design September! Additionally, thank you to everyone who stopped by, marveled, joined the discussions, and tried things out. It was a pleasure to welcome so many of you. Who can stop the kaleidoscopes? For almost two weeks, the Polestar Space in Zurich’s city center has been unusually colorful and moving: wheels, brakes, valves, seat belts and loudspeakers dance across the walls and ceilings, paired with colorful flowers. 💡So war REDESIGNING TEXTILES 2024 Unser gemeinsame Anlass mit QWSTION zu den Schwerpunktthemen #design und #nachhaltigkeit während der Zurich Design Weeks. 📸Die Bilder und was mit mitnehmen: 🍌Wie die Entwickler von Bananatex® dem Textilmarkt mit ihrem «weltweit ersten biologisch abbaubaren Material eine echte Alternative» bieten (🔝Diesen Mai brachte BALENCIAGA seinen limitierten Sportschuh Triple S aus der Bananenfaser von Bananatex auf den Markt. Auch Stella McCartney ist längst auf die Banane gekommen und lanciert nächstes Jahr wieder Taschen und Schuhe aus dem Cradle to Cradle zertifizierten Stoff). ❤️Annabelle Georgina Hutter von Säntis Textiles erklärte, wie sie die #modewelt mit den selbst erfundenen Maschinen ihres Vaters etwas menschlicher und nachhaltiger gestalten will. Das Recyclingunternehmen spezialisiert sich darauf, aus Altkleidern und anderen Textilien vollständig neue Fasern zu machen. 🔮Keynote Speaker Stephan Sigrist des Think Tank W.I.R.E. blickte mit uns in die Glaskugel und zeigte auf, dass der Erfolg der Schweizer #textilbranche in der Forschung & Entwicklung liegt und sie den Weg der #innovation und #nachhaltigkeit weiterhin verfolgen muss.
