Enabling Air Operators with Tailored Software Solutions 🤝 Working to enhance data quality for air operators with paperless eTechlog and Flight Ops software

The MOST outdated process in aviation in 2024… But, Is change finally on the horizon? The past century in aviation has seen one of history's biggest leaps of innovation. The first manned flight was achieved in 1903, a simple glider that flew for just 12 seconds over 120 feet. Just 66 years later, Boeing launched the 747. Opening the skies to the masses and changing travel forever. Aviation has always been at the cutting edge. But in recent decades, stagnation has begun to creep into some areas of the industry. I’m talking specifically about software. And more specifically, about one particular process. The recording and processing of flight and technical data. For 85% of operators this is done on paper. And paper as we all know, isn’t exactly efficient. This process causes bottlenecks in the processing of data negatively impacting efficiency across many aspects of any operation. Here’s the issue: 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿. Leads to → Mistakes, miscalculations and missing data. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 → Heavy and costly manual workload on your team. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀. → Can increase turnaround times 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 →  Management can't access the data they need to make strategically informed decisions. But why does paper persist when the technology to replace it has been around for decades? Resistance is understandable, especially given the critical nature of the data and the cautious attitude of regulators. However, times are changing.  Each year, the technology improves, offering greater benefits with reduced risk. Our e-Techlog has been a game changer for some of our clients in removing these bottlenecks and optimisng data flow and storage: - Eliminating errors in technical logs  - Enabling real-time data sharing across systems  - Providing user-friendly interfaces for in-depth data analysis My mission in the coming years is to make these paper-based processes a thing of the past. Because at the end of the day….nobody likes doing all that paperwork. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁. PS) Are there any other processes you think need moderising? #aviation #aviationindustry #software #flyredifly #digtialaviation

Enabling Air Operators with Tailored Software Solutions 🤝 Working to enhance data quality for air operators with paperless eTechlog and Flight Ops software

At the recent Web Manuals #GODIGITAL event, I co-hosted an interactive workshop on optimising MEL processes. Alongside Mark Overeijnder from marQonform we led an analysis into MEL process optimisation. We Focused on: - Streamlining workflows. - Enhancing data accuracy. - Simplifying end-user access. Our workshop centered on the application of our Value Stream approach. Here’s a brief look at what we covered: 𝗠𝗘𝗟 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: Ensuring the MEL data is precise and up to date, reducing the risk of operational disruptions. 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗘𝗟 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Streamlining the maintenance process, making it easier for teams to manage with minimal friction 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗱-𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀: Emphasising the importance of user-friendly interfaces for seamless MEL data handling. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 1. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We introduced our Value Stream framework, showcasing the typical workflow for setting up a new MEL. Together with attendees, we identified inefficiencies in the process, referred to as "waste," and explored how these could be minimised. 2. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Participants shared their initial feedback and then split into small groups. Each group performed a hands-on review of their current MEL processes, using sticky notes to highlight waste points in their workflows. 3. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: We then discussed these identified waste points. Industry experts shared insights into the root causes and brainstormed potential solutions. 4. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: We presented our Ideal Workflow, incorporating live feedback from the participants. We introduced our own integrated software solutions aimed at reducing waste and optimising MEL workflows. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: It was fascinating to see the common challenges shared by participants. The most common waste identified was "Waiting," often due to dependencies on external authorities.   While some delays are hard to eliminate, our solutions were well-received and proven to reduce inefficiencies throughout the MEL process. at REDiFly we remain committed to innovation, with our electronic technical logbook integrating with templates from Marqonform and systems like Web Manuals to enhance safety, compliance, and usability. Our partnership with Web Manuals strengthens our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions for dynamic MEL management, opening new opportunities for streamlined, digitised operations. A special thanks to Martin Lidgard and his team for the invitation to this incredible event, and for the opportunity to present our workshop. Already looking forward to next year! If you missed it, feel free to reach out to learn how our solutions can support your team in optimising MEL processes. #aviation #softwareintegration #aviaitonindustry #workshop

Enabling Air Operators with Tailored Software Solutions 🤝 Working to enhance data quality for air operators with paperless eTechlog and Flight Ops software

Indian aviation is projected to grow 120% by 2035. This number will only be possible if the correct investments are made in infrastructure. This data makes India one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. But such rapid expansion never comes without problems. Current infrastructure is not fit to meet demand with airports and services being overwhelmed leading to congestion, delays, and operational inefficiencies. The success of the sector is closely tied to the development of broader and surrounding infrastructure. There are 3 areas that will need to be improved if India is to realise its true potential. 1. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Over the last decade, India has doubled its number of airports, yet existing facilities are still under pressure. The government has set targets to increase the number of operational airports to 300 by 2047. Beyond increasing capacity, there is a need for investments in air traffic management and ground services. Enhanced air traffic control can mitigate delays and improve safety as air traffic volumes grow. Additionally, modernising ground services like baggage handling and refueling will be essential to maintain operational efficiency as the industry scales. 2. 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 The Indian government has been proactive in it’s support. Domestic initiatives like the UDAN scheme have boosted regional air connectivity by subsidising airfares on specific routes, making air travel more affordable. improving access to remote regions and promoting balanced regional growth. However, many remote areas remain underserved due to limited connectivity. The current Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy has attracted global investment, particularly benefiting non-resident Indians. To ensure sustainable growth, it's crucial to manage this investment carefully, balancing foreign ownership with local control. For India to realize its full potential, government policies must align with global standards and create a more competitive environment for airlines 3. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Aviation infrastructure is interconnected with others like energy supply, transportation networks, and digital systems. Reliable power is vital for airports and air traffic control and uninterrupted operations. Efficient road and rail links to airports reduce congestion and enhance access. a strategic approach to development is necessary. The potential is vast, but growth is never guaranteed. The nation's ability to expand its capacity while maintaining efficiency and balancing foreign ownership with local control will determine whether it can fully realise its potential. And take its place as a global aviation superpower. The future looks bright. #india #aviation #indianaviation #growth #aviationindustry
