We joined stakeholders at the Nigeria Education Innovation Summit (NEDIS), organized by The Education Partnership (TEP) Centre with support from the Oando Foundation. Inyang Umoren, Project Manager on ADEA’s Tackling Education and Skills Data Challenge, delivered an insightful presentation on how Africa can build future-ready skills. She enjoined countries to build political commitment to educational reforms, strengthen government capacity to use data for decision-making, integrate the private sector in TVSD curriculum, leverage EdTech and AI to address gaps and improve access, prioritize teacher education, continuous professional development, and welfare. For us at ADEA, TVSD remains the shortcut to addressing unemployment at scale and addressing the skills deficit. #FutureReadySkills #EducationAndSkillsData #WorkplaceReadiness

📢 International Women's Day 2025: Inspiring Inclusion in Education! 🌍📚 On Saturday, March 8th, ADEA joined the global community to celebrate the power of inclusive education in shaping a better future for African girls and women. The theme, "Inspire Inclusion," aligns with our commitment to ensuring that education systems across Africa empower every girl with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive. 🔹 How ADEA Advances Inclusion in Education: ✅ Strengthening foundational Learning: Ensuring every girl masters literacy and numeracy, breaking barriers to lifelong learning. ✅ Promoting gender-responsive education policies: working with governments to create policies that foster equal opportunities in education and skills development. ✅ Empowering Women in Leadership & TVSD: Advocating for increased participation of young women in STEM, TVET, and leadership roles in education. ✅ Leveraging Data for Gender Equity: Using education data insights to bridge gender gaps in learning outcomes and school participation. The 4th strategic initiative of our five-year strategic plan is dedicated to promoting access, equity, and inclusion—aspects that ensure gender balance but also consider the peculiar plight of women in access education, especially in challenging circumstances. 🌍 When we invest in inclusive education, we invest in Africa’s future! For #IWD2025, let’s commit to ensuring every African girl has access to quality education, leadership opportunities, and the tools to shape her future. 💬 What actions can we take to further gender inclusion in education? Share your thoughts in the comments! #IWD2025 #InspireInclusion #EducationForAll #EmpowerGirls #ADEA #StrongerTogether #HumansofADEA #WomenofADEA

📢 Strengthening School Leadership in Africa! 🚀 This week, the Coalition behind the African Centre for School Leadership, including VVOB, ADEA, and Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA), have converged in #Abidjan for a design workshop to shape the implementation of the LEAD pillar of the Leaders in Teaching (LIT) initiative. This implementation planning session will focus on two key aspects of country implementation in Tanzania and the Pan-African program. 🔍 Why does this matter? School leadership plays a critical role in improving teaching quality, student learning outcomes, and overall education system performance. Yet, many school leaders across Africa lack structured training, support, and motivation to drive meaningful change. 🌍 Our Goal Through this collaborative six-year program, we aim to: ✅ Strengthen school leadership policies & frameworks 📜 ✅ Equip school leaders with data-driven decision-making skills 📊 ✅ Mobilize and share knowledge and insights on school leadership ✅ Ensure every child benefits from effective instructional leadership 🎓 Together, we are empowering school leaders to transform learning across Africa! Stay tuned for updates on how this work will drive sustainable change. 💡✨ #SchoolLeadership #EducationMatters #LeadersInTeaching #ACSL #ADEA #VVOB #ESSA #TransformingEducation

🌍 Inclusion Matters – And It Begins with Us! It was an insightful 2.5 days for the Tackling Education and Skills Data Challenge in Africa (ESDC) project team at the Inclusion Planning & Mainstreaming Workshop in #Kigali, hosted by the Mastercard Foundation Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL). This workshop introduced partners - including ADEA through the ESDC project— to the Centre’s Young Women-Centric Design approach, fostering actionable strategies to enhance inclusivity and address gender parity in education programs. With only 33% of over 2 million learners reached by the Centre being women, this initiative aligns with the Young Africa Works strategy, which aims to empower 30 million young Africans with dignified work opportunities by 2030. 💡 Let’s drive meaningful change—because inclusion starts with us! #InclusionMatters #EducationForAll #YoungAfricaWorks #GenderEquality #EducationData Mastercard Foundation Albert Nsengiyumva Shem Bodo Inyang Umoren Suraj Shah Co-creation HUB (CcHUB)
