THE GOLDMAN CASE
by Cédric Kahn
synopsis
November 1975. The second trial begins for Pierre Goldman, a far-left militant. During his first trial, he was sentenced to life in prison for four armed robberies, one of which led to the death of two chemists. He protests his innocence in relation to this last charge and, after a few weeks, becomes an icon for the intellectual left. Georges Kiejman, a young lawyer, handles his defence. But very soon, their relationship becomes increasingly strained. The evasive and provocative Goldman is at risk of the death sentence and makes the outcome of his trial uncertain.
