Its 20th edition got off to a great start with our Morning Stage featuring journalist Adam Davidson, tech futurist Cathy Hackl and innovation economist Francesca Bria: 💡 How to feel optimistic about the future? In his talk, Davidson outlined from a world of insecurity to a world of uncertainty, fueling political extremism. However, he sees reasons for optimism: Many countries are uniquely well positioned to thrive. When it comes to AI and manufacturing, he even sees Europe ahead of the US. Davidson believes that with the US retreating from its position as a global superpower, we are entering a much more stable world. 💡Cathy Hackl calls for a protopic vision for the future which envisions a positive evolution of society and technology. We should see the AI revolution as a means of empowering, not replacing us. Spatial Computing is about to transform how we interact with the world, turning our physical surroundings into a canvas where digital and real-world content blend seamlessly. 💡Innovation economist Francesca Bria explains what it means to shape the future of cities: It's about engaging citizens and communities and developing infrastructure based on data. “Technology, AI, the use of data – it is not a parallel world. It’s affecting our real world.
