Such a lovely, diverse & inclusive space at #Beijing30 🇪🇹! This is the kind of space we want for the womxn/grrls and hope that as we think around the revitalization of @UN_CSW, we are looking at a commission that is transformative, and consists of more interactive, intersectional, intergenerational methods of work. For us at the ECCAS/CEMAC subregion, the revitalization process should : 1. Address the structural barriers including language injustice which impedes the participation of women/grrls at the CSW processes; 2. CSW must be rotatory. That’s @UN_Women in NY 🇺🇸 must not be the only @UN body to convene CSWs. Let the other UN regional headquarters/offices convene CSWs 3. UN Women should manage its own registration of participants, just as @UNFCCC does for its annual Climate Conferences. This will give autonomy to UN Women to determine flexible registration deadlines/registration procedures as well as being transparent as it will now have the possibility of generating participation lists desegregated by sex, gender, age, geography etc 4. UN Women must communicate to all host countries embassies/ consular offices accross the globe a full list of registered delegates and must demand that no VISA Fees are paid as per the agreement between UN & Host countries… Pls Share below your thoughts and inputs on the reform process of UN Women CSW commission ! We need to make sure that the transformed CSW is one that is reflective of our collective aspirations.

We are officially underway at the Central Africa Feminist Forum on Beijing+30! We are all excited with so many powerful discussions on the way of contributing for positive change. Dr. Zoneziwoh Mbondgulo-Wondieh kicked off the event with an inspiring welcome address, encouraging participants to unite in the fight for gender equality and amplify the voices of women across the Central Africa region. She reminded us of the power of resilience, collaboration, and advocacy as we reflect on 30 years of progress since the Beijing Declaration. The journey continues, and together, we are making history! 💪 #Beijing30ECCAS #Beijing30CEMAC

#wfac #Beijing30 #droitsdesfemmes #egalitehommefemme Women for a Change, Cameroon

Since yesterday morning and for the next three days, it is a pleasure for me to participate in the Central African Feminist Forum (Cameroon, Chad, DRC, CAR, Gabon, Guinea...) and other countries like Kenya, São Tomé and Príncipe, Benin, etc. It is a space for dialogue and action aimed at making voices heard and defending the rights of women and girls, as well as vulnerable individuals. In this period of humanitarian and climate crises where gender issues are more crucial than ever, we are gathering to discuss the progress and challenges related to the Beijing Platform in our respective countries. This platform, adopted in 1995, remains a fundamental pillar for the emancipation and empowerment of women and gender equality. She reminds us that every woman, every girl, deserves to live in a world where her rights are respected and where she can reach her full potential. During this forum, alongside experts like Monique Kwachou, PhD , Sylvie Jacqueline Ndongmo will address essential themes such as: - Girls' education and access to equitable opportunities; - The fight against gender-based violence; - Understanding the feminist movement; - Sexual rights and reproductive health; - Women's participation in political and economic decision-making. As He for She ambassadors, men also have a role to play in this fight. As allies, they have the responsibility to deconstruct stereotypes/discrimination and promote an inclusive dialogue. Everyone, wherever they are, can create an environment in which, regardless of their gender, they can thrive and contribute to a fairer world.
