    Debbie and I had an incredible experience at Alibaba CoCreate 2024 in Las Vegas! We made it to the finals of the Modern Inventer's Pitch the Pros competition, pitching on the main stage in front of a large audience and outstanding judges. After receiving amazing feedback, we were selected as one of the Pitch the Pros winners! Meeting other inventors and seeing their innovative products was truly inspiring.     After 17 years of back-to-back meetings, brainstorming sessions, negotiations, and a flood of emails, Jennifer Kennedy realized it was time for a change. One night, while juggling work emails and soothing her crying child, she felt overwhelmed. It hit her that, despite her career success, her role as a mother was just as important. This realization drove her to seek a better work-life balance. Inspired by the constant challenge of finding thoughtful gifts for friends and family, Jen identified a need for a more convenient solution. Drawing from her extensive marketing experience—where she consistently generated creative ideas for her company's brand—she knew she had a great idea on her hands. And so, HoneyBug was born: a brand dedicated to offering easy, heartfelt gift options for busy parents. However, running her own business came with new challenges. Jen had to manage the sourcing process, coordinate with countless suppliers, oversee sample quality, handle packaging, and track logistics. At first, she felt even more pressure than she had at her corporate job, which seemed to undermine her original goal of better work-life balance. Things changed for the better when Jen discovered Alibaba.com. The platform connected her to a global network of suppliers, offering a user-friendly interface and rapid communication tools. Jen could engage with multiple vendors, get pricing estimates, and initiate productive dialogues quickly. HoneyBug is now a thriving business, fueled by Jen's creativity and commitment.
