Meet #TheATeam… Today, we’re proud to share Fengyue Li’s story.   As an E-call Customer Care Officer in our China office, Fengyue exemplifies dedication and compassion in critical moments. Recently, she received a call from a distressed customer who was driving to her mother’s house due to her mother experiencing severe heart pain. Unable to reach Emergency services, the woman activated her car’s SOS button, connecting her to Fengyue. Staying calm, Fengyue reassured the caller and reminded her to drive safely while she worked on contacting emergency services and local hospitals on the caller’s behalf. Six minutes later, Fengyue successfully reached the emergency services and within twenty minutes, an ambulance arrived and safely transported the mother to the hospital.   “Helping our customers throughout critical moments in their lives and earning their trust makes me feel purposeful,” says Fengyue.   Read the full story and join us in celebrating our A-team heroes like Fengyue! #AllianzPartners

💚 Big News! We're thrilled to announce the winner of our Sustainability Contest Season 2 Bertrand Hartemann, Head of Platform Partnerships, for his incredible project Travel for Good! Bertrand's vision will empower travelers to contribute €3-5 to a fund that subsidizes micro insurance for at-risk communities – such as those at risk of climate and health risks like drought and famine. We are thrilled to announce Shima Heydari as our new Managing Director of Allianz Partners Benelux & Nordics. Shima has been part of the Allianz Group since 2019 and most recently served as Finance Director for Allianz Partners Benelux & Nordics. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shima is the right person to lead Allianz Partners in these regions to new heights. Shima’s comments on her appointment: "I am honoured to lead Allianz Partners’ market expansion efforts in these key regions where we already have a strong presence in roadside assistance as well as bike and travel insurance. Meet #TheATeam; Madalina. As a Medical Assistance Coordinator in Austria, Madalina recently managed a critical case involving a Romanian customer who had a heart attack while alone in Egypt, leaving his terrified wife at home. Madalina not only helped translate medical advice to Romanian, she also reassured the anxious wife and arranged medical transport back to Romania.    Madalina says, “Being there for our customers and their loved ones is my everyday business, and I absolutely love it.” Thank you Madalina for going the extra mile to assist customers. Today we would like to highlight Jill McAuliffe. As one of our DE&I Advocates, she strives to ensure that every individual feels valued and respected: "I believe in being a vocal ally to all, in having open dialogue and I believe sometimes uncomfortable conversations will help normalise many DEI topics. I want to be an advocate for all humans and continue to learn and raise awareness along the way! I started my journey of being vocal after the murder of Ahmaud Arbery which is horrifying that a black man jogging down the road in a mostly white neighbourhood could get a person killed. It was pure hate. And I simply don’t understand how there can be hate by just being born (skin color/race/ethnicity/sexual orientation). It hurts my soul and heart and so I started to learn more, use my white privilege and advocate everyday.
