This year, BAU China was comprehensively presented in three main areas: exhibition, conference and innovation. It showcased outstanding topics and leading transformation trends. The key topics of the exhibition were “Urban Renewal”, “Resilient, Climate-Friendly Construction”, “Resource Efficiency”, “Modular and Serial Construction”, “Energy Efficiency”. “The four-day trade fair has positively strengthened the confidence and expectations of all those involved in the construction industry in the face of the difficulties in the construction industry. We are very pleased to see so many international visitors at our trade fair, this is extremely important,” reports Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Messe München. “The Chinese market is increasingly developing in the direction of quality and this market needs high-quality products and solutions.”

This year BAU China has been comprehensively upgraded in three major areas: exhibition, conference and innovation. 📢 International Urban Project Award (IUPA)- presented by Bauwelt and World Architecture Magazine, supported by BAU China / Messe München / Architecture Society of China. 📢 The 2024 IUPA Jury Meeting was successfully concluded! 📢 The announcement of the winning projects and the award ceremony will take place on October 16, 2024 during the BAU China / CADE Architecture Expo Architects' Gala Dinner. 📢   On the afternoon of August 21st, the 2024 IUPA Jury Meeting was successfully held in the new building of Tsinghua University School of Architecture. The outstanding works of the year that will change the life of cities around the world are about to be released!   A jury composed of international experts, industry masters and representatives of authoritative industry associations jointly selected the outstanding projects of this year's IUPA through three rounds of rigorous selection.   With the theme of “Interfaces”, this year's IUPA has attracted wide attention from international and domestic firms. 122 entries were received from 26 countries and regions around the world, of which 74 entries came from Europe, accounting for nearly 61% of the total number, and 38 entries came from China, accounting for about 31% of the total number. 10 entries came from the Americas and Atlantic countries, accounting for about 8% of the total.
