The Beijing Arbitration Commission (“BAC”) is a not-for-profit permanent organization devoted to the providing of a forum for impartial and efficient alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation. Mission The BAC focuses on contractual and property-related disputes, both commercial and international, among citizens, legal persons and other organizations. Since its founding, the BAC has grown into the foremost arbitration commission in China. From an initial annual load of only a handful of cases, today the BAC consistently ranks among the top in both cases accepted and total disputed amount. The BAC provides its services of arbitration and mediation as well as Dispute Board on construction disputes. BAC arbitrations emphasize three qualities: Impartiality: In regards to impartiality the BAC remains the arbitration commission economically independent of the government, thus ensuring a minimum of state intrusion or conflicts of interest. Parties moreover have the ability to challenge any arbitrators who appear biased.
