cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex Celebrates 10 Years of Success cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex, a flagship venture of China Duty Free Group (CDFG), celebrated its 10th anniversary on September 1. Since opening, the complex has attracted over 70 million visitors, significantly boosting tourism in Hainan, China’s southern island province. The development of cdf Sanya has faced both challenges and opportunities. In May 2009, the Hainan provincial government granted CDFG exclusive rights to operate a duty-free shop in Sanya. Four months later, on September 1, 2009, the store opened, covering nearly 10,000 square meters, setting a new industry standard. At first, the store catered exclusively to foreign nationals and residents from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan departing from Sanya Phoenix International Airport. Then, with the implementation of Hainan's offshore duty-free shopping policy on April 20, 2011, the store expanded its offerings to a broader customer base. This dual-focused business model quickly established the store as a leader in China's duty-free retail industry. The policy's unique advantages, combined with the rising number of Chinese tourists, led to a significant increase in customer traffic. To meet growing demand, the Complex expanded, with Phase I opened on September 1, 2014, covering 120,000 square meters and becoming the world's largest standalone duty-free store at that time. This expansion marked a new era for China's duty-free industry, introducing larger stores, more brands, and a global perspective. Subsequent growth included Phase II in 2020 and the addition of the Global Beauty Plaza in 2023. Today, the complex features over 850 international brands, offering beauty products, luxury goods, electronics and food. It has effectively leveraged policy benefits to enhance services and improve the shopping experience. An integrity system and 98 service standards have also been developed to provide a more personalized customer experience. To mark its 10th anniversary, the complex has organized events to express gratitude to customers and highlight its local economic contributions. The "Journeying a Thousand Miles, Cherishing Every Moment" celebration includes customer giveaways, celebrity appearances, special travel offers, and cash coupons. Luxury brand exhibitions and fashion shows will showcase premium offerings, creating a visual feast for consumers. As cdf Sanya enters its next decade, it remains committed to "doing business in good faith and providing quality services.", also focuses on social responsibility, such as supporting poverty alleviation. By exploring innovative service models and optimizing the shopping environment, the complex aspires to create a world-class destination that offers a high-end, convenient, and personalized shopping experience.

  • 🌍Supporting National Ecology Day | CDFI Promotes Sustainability🌱 In celebration of National Ecology Day, China Duty Free International Limited (CDFI) organized a volunteer team to plant 500 native seedlings in Hong Kong's country parks🌲. This effort supports the "Country Parks Plantation Enrichment Programme" (PEP), aiming to boost ecological value and biodiversity, and contribute to carbon neutrality💚. Hong Kong has worked on afforestation since the 1950s to restore its natural environment. The introduction of exotic species, while effective in greening land, has reduced native species diversity. To improve this, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department launched PEP in 2009 to increase native plant diversity and support wildlife🌿. CDFI believes a healthy environment supports economic growth.🌟On August 15, National Ecology Day, CDFI’s team, including company leaders, employees, and local representatives, planted 500 native seedlings including Spotted Ardisia, Daphniphyllum calycinum and Reticulate Helicia🌳. CDFI is committed to enhancing Hong Kong’s ecology and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility 💪. #cdfi #cdfi中免國際 #NationalEcologyDay #Sustainability #CarbonNeutrality
