When #history was made: A century ago, in 1924, #CLAAS took part for the first time in a traveling exhibition of the DLG, the predecessor of today's #Agritechnica.   The trade fair premiere in Hamburg turned out to be a significant moment in the company's history: The Claas brothers won the silver #DLG coin for their innovative knotter. 🥇   This top award made the reliable straw binders from Harsewinkel widely known and ultimately helped the then young company achieve its breakthrough. 🚀   #exhibition #fair #innovation #agriculture #engineering

The sustainable fuel made of used cooking oil🌱♻   While electric cars are taking over the streets, forage harvesters, combine harvesters and large tractors will still need internal combustion engines in the future. However, ideally they will no longer run on diesel, but will use a sustainable liquid fuel instead: Hydrotreated vegetable oil, or in short: HVO. 🌾   #HVO is obtained through the chemical processing of waste products such as plant residues or used cooking oil. Behind the scenes: 500,000 CLAAS combine harvesters 🌾         First it was a figure, then an idea, and finally a project: half a million combine harvesters. It was a long way from the idea via the design process and finally the finish with special painting and application of the large CLAAS 500,000 stickers – demanding more than one year of preparation and international coordination.    The anniversary machines were designed to build a bridge between past and present through their appearance. The most important eras in combine harvester history were silver and seed green, which were incorporated into the anniversary design in a metallic color. For the finish, CLAAS Industrial Design created large stickers with overlapping "CLAAS" and "500000" lettering. The CLAAS lettering is partially transparent, with hundreds of the familiar CLAAS knotter hooks punched out as a pattern. 🎨    For this anniversary, there was to be not just one, but several anniversary machines. Even countries without production sites should and wanted to be able to take part in this so important anniversary. As a result, the eye-catching machines do not only cause a high attention across German fields in the running harvest, but also appeared at the Ag in Motion trade fair in Canada mid of July and demonstrated their skills to farmers in France, Great Britain, Denmark, Poland and Romania. New #photovoltaic system put in operation at #CLAAS Agricoltura in Leno, Italy. 🌞🔋   The project started in spring 2023 and the installation of the system was completed recently. The 320 m2 roof in Leno was fitted with a total of 150 panels. This means that from now on vast amounts of external power supply will be saved at the location.   #ESG #solar #sustainability #agriculture

Anniversary in Nivå, Denmark: Celebrating 25 years of computer vision innovation. 🥳 🎂   Recently, CLAAS E-Systems celebrated the 25th #anniversary of its Danish branch in Nivå. The branch – in #CLAAS ownership since late 2006 - has been active within development of computer vision-based products and solutions for the agricultural sector since June 1999.   The celebrations featured many memorable moments for the local employees as well as the attending founding members and guests from CLAAS E-Systems in Dissen, Germany.   Particular highlights were the performance of a famous Danish national girls’ choir and the celebrations at the renowned Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Let the challenge begin! 🚜🏆   After the great victory of the XERION 12.650 TERRA TRAC last year, CLAAS is also taking part in the latest installment of the renowned international Tractor of the Year Award.   We are competing in the "MidTractor" category with the ARION 660 CMATIC. The flagship of the ARION 600 series is characterized by a long wheelbase with excellent traction, a highly efficient and durable CMATIC transmission made by CLAAS and the full package of state-of-the-art technologies such as CEMOS – all of this making it the current top seller from our Le Mans tractor production.   Today’s ARION 660 CMATIC is, after its first appearance in 2017, the result of years of continuous improvements and technical progress.
