CMOC is present at the DRC - Africa Battery Metals forum, which kicks off today at the Fleuve Congo Hotel in Kinshasa! This two-day forum on the theme of “Building a strong and sustainable battery metals ecosystem in the DRC” will bring together key players in #EnergyTransition to discuss these topics. 

H1 of 2024 was a great period for CMOC as our ESG policy was awarded in many ways! After being officially awarded with The Copper Mark certificate in June, the MSCI ratings maintained our AA MSCI ESG rating, with a ranking in the top 19% of the MSCI ratings in the global non-ferrous metal industry 🥇 CMOC was also selected as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series for the first time, and selected for its second consecutive year in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China). During H1 of 2024, CMOC and its subsidiaries have made significant strides towards achieving their objectives! #TFM successfully reached its production targets, creating an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons of copper and 37,000 tons of cobalt. #KFM maintained stable copper and cobalt production, with an annual production capacity of over 150,000 tons of copper and 50,000 tons of cobalt. Additionally, we've signed a contract in DRC for the Nzilo II Hydropower Project, ensuring capacity expansion and reinforcing our ongoing dedication to sustainable growth and operational excellence. On Saturday August 17, DRC Mining Minister Kizito Pakabomba visited Tenke Fungurume Mining Officiel #TFM. Welcomed by CEO Wang Hanyuan and other officials, the Minister discovered the modern facilities of the 30k plant, TFM's most recent construction designed to significantly increase copper and cobalt production, while respecting environmental standards. The visit also highlighted TFM's commitment to local communities, with a visit to the region's new morgue, which will relieve congestion in the existing local infrastructure.
