AI4S Cup - LLM Challenge，the competition is in progress! Large Language Models (LLMs) have made significant progress in the fields of natural language understanding and generation, sparking widespread interest in applying them to scientific literature analysis. Reading scientific literature is an essential step in research work; however, due to its characteristics of long texts and multi-modal (text, tables, images, molecules, reaction formulas) content, it presents substantial challenges for large models.(Please refer to https://lnkd.in/d9Q7nrzE and https://lnkd.in/g7EziZK5 ) This competition adopts a closed evaluation method, where participants can only submit complete model files and weights for evaluation on machines provided by the organizers. The "China New Energy AI Alliance," jointly initiated by Sichuan New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center Co., Ltd., AI for Science Institute, Beijing(AISI), Yibin Zhida Technology Co., Ltd., and DP Technology has officially launched. This AI Alliance is strategically poised to act as a conduit between new energy and AI technologies, with a focus on three main objectives: 1.Technical Collaboration Platform: To develop a sustainable framework that enables consortium members to collectively curate high-quality datasets for the new energy sector and to foster the innovation of cutting-edge vertical large-scale AI models. 2.Industrial Synergy Platform: To encourage inter-member collaboration across the supply chain, aiming to expand the market collectively. 3.Standardization Platform: To establish a reputable and influential benchmarking system and standards for large-scale new energy AI models, ensuring quality and consistency across the industry.

The Yibin government（Sichuan Province, PRC) is set to partner with DP Technology to develop the “Yibin New Energy and New Materials Digital Innovation Center”. This initiative will harness DP Technology's extensive experience in interdisciplinary research and its "Particle Universe®"— AI for Science large-scale model system to provide significant support for the scientific innovation and industrial development of new energy and new materials in Yibin. The project is expected to involve an investment of several hundred million RMB.

AI4S Cup - OpenLAM Challenge - LAM Crystal Philately is currently underway!!! For more details, please visit our competition's official website：https://lnkd.in/gtNivdug The vision of OpenLAM is to conquer the periodic table, aligning with Rutherford's viewpoint. Our mission is to inductively summarize various phenomena to reveal the fundamental physical laws governing nature. The starting point of this process is to collect data on various phenomena, akin to philately. In recent years, with the rapid development of generative large models, traditional modes of material research and development are being gradually disrupted. Various novel material generation algorithms and high-throughput optimization search algorithms have emerged. This competition runs indefinitely with a rolling leaderboard, where participants can freely choose any algorithm and use any database to construct crystal structures that meet the competition requirements. The organizing committee will score based on the stability of the submitted crystal structures and the number of structures submitted, on a weekly basis.
