"Walking together, we find our purpose and strength." Discover how Georges Lalahy and 20 Cisco colleagues embarked on the Camino de Santiago, a 100 km trek, to fundraise for cancer screening equipment. At Cisco, we understand that leadership and personal growth often come from stepping outside our comfort zones. This collective journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience, community, and profound personal development that can be achieved when we challenge ourselves and embrace new experiences together. The 21 colleagues started as mostly strangers but left feeling like a family due to this shared cause. One of the most poignant moments was the tradition of carrying and leaving behind Camino stones, symbolising the burdens and challenges we all carry. Prior to the trip, the team hosted a bake sale and anyone who bought a cake was given a Camino Stone which they could write their own unique message on. This allowed their colleagues back home to have a direct connection with those on the trail. Georges and his team's reflections on this journey offer valuable lessons for all of us striving to lead with purpose and connect more meaningfully with our teams and communities.
